    Otherwise my 2011 5.7 Tundra
    Crewmax has 1132 HP
Honestly I just installed it today and it was the last perimeter I installed before it got dark.
It's a Scan Gauge 2 anyone figure out how to get accurate Horsepower readings ????
    I'm searching the web ATM.

Though I have no way of really knowing the accuracy, the HP readout seems fairly plausible on my 2012

I'd try entering the codes again.

I've not been able to get the elevation to function however. :monocle:

I wasn't aware there were codes to enter for HP. I did enter codes for Trans temp though. Worked fine

... Well now that you mention it, I think that was a preloaded item.

Might be able to get the codes off their website and confirm they were correct from the factory/redo them.?

You do anything fun for the instal location?

Funny you mentioned that. Because it's shape is nothing like a cellphone it's a challenge -- not impossible...finding a decent mount. I settled for a small magnet/sticky base mount system 16$ at AutoZone. I'll post a pic later.
Sidenote....I was Leary of magnets on electronics so I called Scan gauge & their Tech said it was fine.
I think the one they sell on their site is similar ??

Not a bad option. I do like the idea of magnetic mounts wherever possible.

I bent and painted a random piece of flat steel I found around the garage, and added some (very low quality) hook-n-loop, also located in the garage hoarding bin(s). Mounted the monstrosity in the useless little pocket reserved for the factory brake controller I don't have.

    20241031_164721.jpg

It's not a perfect solution as access is kinda blocked while in park, but the SG2 is perfectly usable and legible while in drive. Plus you can just undo the velcro if you need to code more options or something. I AM going to upgrade to the plastic on plastic style hook-n-loop at some point.

Mounting this thing is why I avoided the SG3. Just too damn big. I REALLY wanted the Banks Supergauge (or whatever) and had planned to replace the factory trans temp "pod" with the fancy one. Unfortunately Banks doesn't support TPMS info, (which seems ridiculous) so I was not willing to purchase it.

    Weirdest thing today......
So there's a HPW you create and a factory setting HPR apparently....that I didn't see last nite. So this morning I take off let the tranny warm up to at least 175°F and put the beans to this 236k old truck
Except for today at 4600 rpmScreenshot_20241031-210036.png it read 397 HPR Wich is waaaay more accurate than last nites 1100 HPW gauge HPW cause I entered the characters... Being that it's soooo much closer to advertised power I'm gonna leave it tor now.
Id like to believe it's 397hp but I doubt it's that much.
However after reading car magazines since 1986 I'm 52 now I've learned it is not impossible for new cars or trucks to increase in power after a proper break in and thousands of well maintained miles to
"smooth things out" to what extent who knows ?? Can't be more than 3-5% idk ?
    Well here's to wishful thinking.
As I learn this apparatus better the SG2...
I'll attempt to micro adjust it. Though I don't think without a true dyno We won't know a more accurate figure. Being that 3 dynos give 3 different outputs lol.
Same thing happened to my 09 137k
2.7:Taco with V1 SG. That sucker said 644HP haaaaaaaa I laughed all. The way home. I miss that lil truck bought it brand new for 21k $ in 2009 access cab auto a/c electric windows etc. you can't buy a Yaris size Toyota gas engine for less than 26$
    Oh well ramble over.

Looks good from my house & neat.
Can you please explain/show what a
hook & loop system is ?? I been scratching my head lol. I get the bent piece of steel...
    But that's all.

Hook and loop is just the generic term for velcro. I found some fairly standard velcro (black) amongst my things, but the fuzzy fabric side is just too flexible and the right side of the GS2 inevitably sags a wee bit. I have, like a heave duty type of velcro where both sides' fingers(.?) Are stiff plastic and I imagine will not sag while still allowing easy removability.

We shall see when I get to it. Haha!

OOOOO--K rite on. Velcro yup that'll work.
Well if you decide to relocate it that mount for 17$ plus it's local at AutoZone* maybe in your area otherwise can maybe be ordered on Glamazon.
Not kidding though if you go to SG2 website under accessories their SG2 looks identical to mine IMO for 21$ & shipping..
I really wish the female port was on the left side of the SG2 even the rear port. Oh well gotta make it work I guess... Tomorrow I'll post driver perspective view for better pictures. Otherwise 17 bucks ain't too bad to keep it steady I couldn't do all sticky because Houston in the summer is freaking DEATH TRAP HOT in a locked car easily can reach 140°F minimum day after day that sticky won't make it. It's hell on the whole truck
