Anyone have an idea what this "PUSH" light is about?

Just came on yesterday and stayed on. 2021 SR5. I can't find it in my owner's manual.

 

That changes the brightness of the lights in the dash cluster.

 

Has a different purpose on domestic trucks. When the “push” light comes on you must:
-Get a second person to assist
-walk to the back of the vehicle
-place hand upon the upper portion of the tailgate or the bumper if more ergonomically correct for your height
-have the second person turn the key to the “on” position
-have the second person select the “N” position for the shifter and release the brakes (foot pedal and parking)
-have the second person use the steering wheel to point the truck in a safe direction away from traffic
-now begin the indicated “push” procedure
-using the stronger muscles of the legs, begin pressing the leg forcefully backwards while leaning into the rear of the vehicle to establish forward movement
-once the vehicle has reached the safe location, have the second person apply the brakes and put the truck in park
-call your GM, Ford or Dodge dealer for further instruction

 

I am going to bet it has been on the entire time and you just now realized it was there. As another poster stated, it controls the brightness of the instrument cluster.

Thank you all. I did push the button below it several times yesterday trying to make it go off, and it did not. I should have mentioned that. The button did allow me to change the brightness, but the indicator remained on.

Seydou, if that light has been on the entire time, that would shock me to the point that it is hard to believe. But I guess it's possible. I'll see if it is still there next time I start the truck, and if it is gone, I will know I'm not crazy. So you are saying that this light remains on in everyone's trucks?

That light is bad news. It means you bought a rebranded Ford and need to start pushing the truck because the engine is about to go. The new computer senses when the engine is about to throw a rod so you can start getting your legs warmed up.

 

The human brain is quite remarkable. Memory can be vastly capable and simultaneously remarkably innaccurate and unreliable.

 

I know what the button does, turns on the Vice City mode:
"Push it to the limit
Walk along the razor's edge
but don't look down, just keep your head
or you'll be finished"

As well it isn't light that came on, it's part of the print on the dash.
That made it seem like trolling.

Hope this clears it up for you and the OP since he/her/it can't find it on his/her/their own.

You're right about the manual. Stupid fucking thing has the answer to just about every question.
