    Hi all!

looking at making some suspension upgrades and wanted to see if anyone had any experience with these Dirt King Lower Control Arms?

I have the budget to either get the DK lower control arms OR the Camburg Spindles. But I figured the best path to getting the best of both worlds would be to get the DK LCA’s and instead just get the Total Chaos Spindle Gussets as a much cheaper option.

But wanted to see if anyone had any experience with the LCA’s before pulling the trigger!

    thanks so much all!

What’s your current setup and use case? Honestly these stock width aftermarket lowers are something I wouldn’t waste money on. The stock lowers are strong. As far as gussets you can do a gussets on the spindle and it’d be plenty.

Hey Rey! Actually kinda stoked to see you reply as I have followed a lot of your advice I’ve found on the forums!! Since you’re the LT king, I really thought about LT for a while, but it just seemed like the rabbit hole of things you needed to get to make LT work seemed to never end, so I figured I would just try to build the best mid travel money can buy. Currently ordering the Bilstein 8112/8110 combo, going to get the upgraded Coachbuilder outer tie rods, the TRD front sway bar and now currently debating upgrading the LCA’s vs Spindles to beef everything up as much as possible! So no real upgrade in articulation to be expected from upgrading the LCA’s? Figured they looked so much better built so thought I should look at doing it!

Ha I dunno about LT king but working to refine the LT setup for sure. I would shift those funds to a good upper control arm and welded spindle is plenty. I don’t know much about the bisteins but I’d also recommend getting any shocks valved to your weight and setup. This will take the most advantage to any setup. Your rear leaf pack should also be changed all that would make a great mid travel setup.

Well for what it’s worth, I think you have the coolest truck I have ever seen in my entire life! Ohh I compelltey forgot to mention that, but I already have the JBA UCA’s, so that’s why I was running out of things to buy for suspension. One quick question for you on your recommendation: will a new leaf pack make my ride better? I have heard they are needed, when towing a lot or if vehicle is under constant load from a camper shell or something, but if my truck is unloaded and empty bed 95% of the time, would I benefit from a new pack? Trying to do any upgrade I can to get a better ride so open to anything! Rear lift right now is going to be just a 1-1.5” shackle. Thanks man!!

A new leaf pack can absolutely help with the ride and progressivenes of how it feels. I was just have a conversation with my old man about leafs in general and how they work etc. There's some fast ass trucks out there on leafs. The leaf pack is a needed change. I think we over leaf these trucks I'm considering going softer to allow it to move better in the travel cycle.

I’ve been considering the dirt king lower control arms to go with an icon secondary shock setup.
Finding reviews on them or even the long travel set up is not the easiest.

+1 on saving your money. Factory length control arms are a gimmick, though look cool to a lot of people. Yes, you gain some material strength but you don't need it. Double up and long travel.
