Have any of you installed the Anytime backup camera kit with an aftermarket head unit? I have an issue that I can't figure out.

I installed a DMX1057XR HU. It has a button that I can press called "CAM." I can poke it any time and the backup camera comes on. No kit required.

What head unit? There is no need for a FRAC harness with most modern head units.

It's a Pioneer 2550 NEX. The issue I have is that I can switch from front to rear cam with the switch, but I think I need to re-wire for the reverse override. When I go to reverse, the camera comes on, and I can switch between the 2. If I just hit the switch at any time, I cannot see the cameras until I go onto the source menu and select camera view.

Problem solved. Talked to the owner at Anytimebackupcamera.com. With aftermarket head units such as Pioneer and Kenwood, you cut the orange wire from his interface harness and connect it directly to the reverse trigger wire going to the radio.

I have the Pioneer DMH-NEX8600 and I just hooked up a front camera and I am able to do front anytime camera option now along with the anytime backup camera. I also programmed the Maestro steering wheel control to access the cameras anytime. With my HU in the settings for the input/output, the 2nd camera needs to be selected instead of the idatalink in order to use this feature. Just recently tested this out and now for sure don't need the FRAC harness like I thought I would to achieve this mod.

Do you mind sharing a bit more about this. I'm a cousin from Tacomaworld, and I have this kit and have been trying to get my anytime backup camera with front camera + switch working with my new joying head unit.

So i got it on cutting the Orange wire (which plugs into the override harness) and connecting to the reverse trigger wire (called "Back" on the joying HU). This makes sense since Joying doesn't use those wires on the end.

Do you actually plug into the RCA yellow plug on the head unit (camera in or backup in?) from one of the 3 yellow RCA plugs that come out of the relay or does it all go through the main harness? Love if you could DM me or share a screenshot of the email from the owner of ABC. Been racking my brain on this one but don't want to short anything.
