I heard it adds at least 25 HP to the wheels and allows you to go 4x as long on oil changes.

But seriously, hopefully some non-smartasses will be along to give you some actual feedback.

I tried one at my last oil change and it seems to not fit as well in the filter housing. The filter media is quite a bit finer but I’ll be going back to the OEM $5 filter at my next oil change. I like to change my oil every 5-7k so I won’t see the benefit of a better than stock filter.

They do come with some upgraded green o-rings but can’t justify the extra cost just for those.

Using it for 3 years now, every 10k oil change. No problems

    You can use it.

but the factory one is more than fine enough for any use I could see being done with a tundra

I could be wrong, but to have an informed opinion, someone would have to send the oil out for analysis using both filters and have the results come back showing a difference related to the filtering.

Here is another thread that may help: https://www.tundras.com/threads/oil-filter-discussion.58729/#post-1540014

What you will find is there are two thoughts. Thought 1 is: I am using the filter Toyota recommends and puts in the truck. Why spend $9+ when I can spend $5 for no proven advantage.
Thought #2: the TRD has a better element, better construction, better seal and is worth the extra money to me.

Your money. Spend it as you wish.
