Just got a deal on fifteen five quart jugs. If Walmart would have honored my other two orders for 20,20 I would have had 135 jugs to flip! I guess I am lucky to get the fifteen for one bill.
I am going to use these in my 22 1794 non hybrid.
    Love yours. D

HA! I used to work for HPL in the lab. I calibrated all those foam testers. Prior to this, unless you knew you were getting the latest batch, shake the product. Good to see Lake did a video about it.

Hybrid engines are the same as non hybrid engines as far as oil is concerned. No difference whatsoever.

Yes the hybrid bits separate and float and when you flip the jug to empty they float away from the hole and don’t get dumped into the engine

These aren’t your traditional hybrid design. It’s an electric motor for additional power that’s it. The engine runs all the time. If these were true hybrids you would be getting by far better mpgs. My non “hybrid” gets 20-24 mpgs. I don’t see these hybrids getting any better.

Look at the viscosity specs on the Mobil1 website. I’m betting the viscosity is a bit lower than a standard 0w20.

in a truck, especially a turbo charged truck, Ideally you’d want something at the higher end of the range for its grade.

Will it hurt anything? Probably not… especially if not used under severe service. I would not push it to 10,000 miles.

How does it taste compared to regular Mobil 1?

Interesting. My wife bought some lube with the same kinematic viscosity as the mobile 1 hybrid oil. A 5 quart jug would last a lot longer..... Not sure I could remember to shake it first though.

I must’ve been thinking about the AFE - Advanced Fuel Economy version.

Curious what the difference with the Hybrid… maybe more moly to help with starting/stopping? Then again, most new cars are doing that strategy at stoplights. Got me. Hope OP has some miles to drive, because that’s a lot of oil!

ETA: “Mobil 1 Hybrid full synthetic motor oil is specially formulated for hybrid engines and their unique technical needs. Hybrid engines run differently than non-hybrid (internal combustion) engines - they generally run at lower operating temperatures as the power source rotates between the engine and battery. These lower operating temperatures can allow contaminants, like fuel and water, to accumulate in the engine oil. Mobil 1 Hybrid is formulated with extra additives to help fight damage from these harmful contaminants and to provide that extra protection your hybrid engine needs.”

also, I’m seeing KV at 8.2@100c. But that’s trivial

AI says hybrid has more additives. I’m too lazy to research that lol

Hybrids have a flux capacitor, it runs best on used French fry oil.

Don't forget about the hybrid air for the tires as well. And the differences in summer air & winter air & why you should change it.

    You guys are getting complicated.
Even dealer oil changes come from the same big bulk oil tank out back.

Wally World screwed up. The three packs of five quarts ,multipacks were at the single jug sale price of $28.76. So I bought as many as I could. 15K miles guaranteed! I will change every 5K.Current ride 2022 1794.
    Peace. D

I'm surprised no one had mentioned "Protects for 15,000 miles - Guaranteed*", until now, and Triple Action Formula (!!!)
Seriously, I'm sure it's perfectly fine oil, but the marketing BS is just that.

There are 15 different varieties of Cheerios.
There are 16 different varieties of Mobil1.

    Something for everyone.
