    Hey all,

Even though my Tundra is lowered, my youngest daughter still has a hell of a time getting into the truck. I'm thinking of picking up some Amp boards, but am concerned that they will extend too low.

I have spent the better part of the last two hours searching, and cannot find out just how far they extend downward. I have seen everything from 10-14.5, but I cant tell if thats being measured as an angle or straight down. Does anyone know how low they extend vertically to the bottom of the step?

For potential future searchers, the Bestop boards go down 6", and out 2" (with a 6.25" platform for a total of 8.25") from the pinch seam.

I still cannot find the specs for the Amp boards

hope this helps. And FYI, I think I saw "extenders" for those who have crazy lifts and want the step to retract further down

Any chance you can snap a pic from further out with them up and down? I have a silver limited and am seriously considering these steps.

I love mine. It helps grandma and my daughter go in and out with ease. The height difference where you actually step onto is about 11 inches, a huge decrease in entry height.

Trust me, you won't be disappointed. I love mine too!!! What really attracted me to the AMP boards is that they tuck away when not in use. Less chance of getting damaged while off road.

Thanks. I can R&R transmissions, t-cases, diffs, axles and suspension parts, but I suck at wiring, which is why I asked.

Had these running boards for 4 years now. No issues other than having to replace a few of the lights.

If you are on one of the 'other' tundra talk forums, the best place is to PM SVCustoms with a quote request. The best price you will find anywhere, and its not even close!

Here’s the look on a White Tunny. They’re expensive but worth it, like all others have said. I think your whole family will benefit if you go this direction:

Love my Amp Power Steps, OBDII version.
First mod I did, and one of main mods I wanted on my dream truck.

Yes, they do make noise, but I consider that a safety feature.
I know when they go up, and when they go down, and I find it to be a somewhat pleasant sound :D

I have had a bad driver's side driver step light since like day 2, but I have not spent any time trying to figure out what is wrong other than smacking the light itself and the module I put under the hood with my hand.
Been living with it being out for over a year now lol.

Sometimes I just open and close my doors to watch them go up and down.

Makes me feel like I own a transformer :transformer:
