I recently installed and anytime backup camera on my 2020 tundra. The image was reversed so I cut the green wire and now the image is upside down but the left right orientation is correct. Anyone have this problem?

    Welcome from NY.

Can you spin the camera around?

I could install the camera upside down but this would make the left /right orientation reversed. I just installed this same kit on another vehicle without any issue at all. Anytime backup camera has been no help at all. They havent answered any of my emails. I suspect the camera wiring is defective.

Sounds like an issue with the camera and not the anytime harness. The harness just takes the video feed it's given from the camera. Chances are the camera is wired incorrectly or faulty so i'd start by dropping $12 on Amazon for a new one :)

It was nothing like that Bravo delta romeo. My wife posted on my behalf before getting the facts straight and got confused. She got tired of hearing me complain about the camera orientation and tried to help me out on Her own. She doesnt know one truck model from the next (and doesnt care to know. I give her props for trying to help. I bought a 2020 tacoma trd and a 2020 Tundra 1794 last month. I put an anytime backup camera on the tundra without any issue. A week later I installed the same camera and same harness on my tacoma and the image was reversed. I cut the green wire and then the image had proper left and right orientation but was now upside down.

It has to be a bad camera ! Since the company wont respond I have put a hold on the credit card payment. Wish me luck.

Ty to all! Sorry for the confusion.

There is another wire you can cut that should fix the upside down portion of the camera. I’d look through the camera instructions again.

there are three wires that can be cut. One for if it’s mounted sitting or upside down mount, one for gridlines, and on to flip (reverse) the image. At least mine did..

Gotcha. And my apologies for assuming.

Hope you get it figured out shortly.

Thank you Dittothat but the other wire is for the Monitor guidelines . I cut it as well just to try things out. I have now spliced both wires back together and my image is right side up but reversed as it was in the beginning. I guess I will have to live with it this way unless they send me a new camera. Ty to all!

How do I place a photo from my phone onto the post? My wife usually helps me but she went to the grocery store.

    Dittithat,

Thank you. Both of mine only had two wires (green and white). I did see TacoTwans video where he had three wires.
