I have heard that the Michelin LTX A2's are a good tire and some ppl just rave about their longevity and performance. Are the stock Michelin's that come on Tundras the same tire and quality. I have heard that sometimes tire manufacturers provide a different or lesser quality tire for stock vehicles.

My used 2019 came with Nitto Terra G2's and they are OK but I also hear they wear quick and arent that great. I am kinda wanting to return to stock with the Michelins by finding a set of someones new take-offs.

I’d say they are the same and if it’s type of tire you’re looking for they are an excellent choice. Great tires.

The Michelins that came on my Pro are ok street tires. They're quiet, and they're wearing very well. Off road, they're shit. They pick up gravel and rocks will fling them for miles once you hit pavement again. I also got 2 rock punctures on one tire traveling a county maintained gravel road.

Truthfully the AT2 are good tires. I have no complaints in the rain or snow. But if your wanting to change tires I would look at the Michelin Defender LTX. The Defenders are much better. They are superior to any AT tires in almost every category. Except in mud, deep snow (8 plus inches), and serious off-roading.

I haven’t found any AT to perform in the ice and rain as well as the Defender. And their performance is extremely consistent through the life of the tire.

It all depends on your needs OP. They are most boorish looking tire on the market but don’t be fooled.

Mine have handled everything I’ve thrown at them. Rocky CO trails, Wyoming black mud, snowy commutes and quiet highway miles. I’ll admit that replacements will have to be equally capable but cooler looking to be considered. I have 23k on them and will replace next fall before hunting season. At take off pricing they’re unbeatable if you don’t mind the highway tire looks.

I had a set of E load Nitto G2s on my 4Runner that I loved. I had over 30k on them when I traded it in, and they were still in fantastic shape. I had no problems airing them down to 18psi and hitting the trails. They didn't chunk out, they were quiet on pavement, and had great traction in all situations.

The thing I don't like about the AT2s is that they throw little rocks, as mentioned above. It's annoying more than anything, but sometimes they throw the rock out in front of the truck and it bounces high enough up off the ground that you hit the rock in midair with your windshield. That can seem very odd when there's no one in front of you, but it's your own truck throwing the rock with those dang AT2s.

I have 38k on my stock Michelines. I will be trying to replace them with someones take offs in the future. They don't do anything great but do everything well.
