I was interested in this Armodillo AR pre runner grille guard. I wasnt looking to change out the whole bumper but just wanted a little extra beef up front. From reading the reviews on a few sites it doesnt seem like it interferes with the TSS sensor or the radar for cruise control. It also has two mounting points for lighting. Anybody have any experience with this product/ company or insight for me??? Thanks

It does look pretty cool. You probably know, those types of guards are more for looks, light attachment points. They generally attach at the tow hook area and do not have the support structure to handle animal/deer hits. In a hit they fold back into the front of the truck. If you need something to withstand an animal strike, a real bumper like ARB, Ranch Hand, etc is what you need.

But if it suits your needs it is a really nice design. I like it much better than many of the other bull bars available. Its costly however, about 1/2 the cost of a stout aftermarket bumper and guard combo.

I definitely agree with your comment. I live in a more suburban area. Not many animal strikes except sqirrels and birds here. My main concern would be some idiot backing into me in a parking lot or my wife and daughters doing the same thing in my driveway. I definitely like the looks of it though. They make a newer one that uses less round tubular steel and more octagnal material. The brackets they use do not fit 2019 and up. They said they have new brackets in production which will be out end of March. I dont get that though. My 2019 should be the same as 18 17 16 and so on
