Having lurked around here trying to find the correct exhaust for this truck and the digging and browsing being done, I came to the conclusion that I am now too old for a loud truck (my F150 Ecoboost had so much drone it was headache inducing), and I was at a place financially where I was able to spend what I wanted. Hours of YouTube browsing.

Borla, Magnaflow and all of its variants, AWE, DD, AFE, Corsa (had one on my GTI and it was awesome). All of which in my opinion were too loud and didn't have what I was looking for in terms of smooth sound and tone. Drone is also a no go.

Stumbled on the Atlantic Built slip on unit, which is going to be paired with my TRD pro axle back I believe from everything that I have heard (in terms of sound and drone suppression) is going to be my best bet.

In talking with the owner/fabricator of Atlantic built on IG he spent a lot of time looking at the math and lengths for the 1/4 wave j pipe to cancel our the frequencies where this engine drones at.

304 Stainless, tig welded, factory hanger points.

I went with the HWHL version with the oval muffler.

For the current price and what you get with this product, this was a no-brainer for me.

I'll be working on getting sound clips and some videos (as good as you'll get without hearing it with your own ears in person), to add to the list of exhaust videos that are currently floating around.

    NEW!
12" Oval Quarter Wave Resonator (HWHL)
: We've all heard "Happy wife, Happy life" before... turns out it's a real thing. We designed this new product based on customer feedback, and the opportunity to further improve our products to suit most everyone's needs. This side branch resonator has countless hours of R&D and testing, chasing what we feel is the absolute best in-cab driving experience. This system still delivers that deep, smooth tone of our standard 12" oval resonator on the outside, while offering a very toned down cabin volume, and little to no exhaust drone under most driving conditions.

Just curious how your break-in opinion has been with the new AB exhaust... I'm looking at one for my 2025 TRD Limited. Have you/do you towed with the exhaust? I plan on towing a boat and I am curious if you've done so and what might your experience have been. Also - how's the WAF (wife acceptance factor)?

Haven’t gotten it yet. Once I do, I’ll definitely be posting results. I don’t tow.

But from what everything I’ve read and heard, this should pass the wife litmus test.

YES! Very interested to hear more.
Daedalus, are you based in the US or CA?
If US, any concerns with tariff tacked on in addition to shipping?

Aight. Got out for a bit before we have to bunker down.

Zero cruising drone at 1500-2000rpm. I mean like interstate cruising, or wherever you’re headed. Light load. Nothing. He got the 1/4 resonator spot on.

when you step on it, the thing is rowdy.
With as quick as this 10spd shifts, it’s nice to hear the growl out back.
It’s an aftermarket exhaust so it’s going to be louder, but man does this tick all the boxes across the board. Loud when you want it. Quiet when you don’t.

Looks good, sounds good; if you hook up a rig and tow... I'd like to get your impression of the volume/aggressiveness...

I don't tow, unfortunately. The drone aspect is nearly completely mitigated, but it is loud under load.

I'm going to toss on the stock SR5 tailpipe this weekend and see how that resonator tones it down some. The TRD pro axle back does open things up a bit.

Appreciate your efforts here with trying out variables in configurations. I was thinking of also buying the short down pipe instead of remounting the tailpipe. But I think that may be too much sound for the wife. I suspect the remounting of the full tail pipe may bring the sound down a bit. I want the grunt, but gotta keep the wife happy and not be obnoxious on the boat ramp and around town.

    Yes, she sent this Sunday.

The aesthetics of the TRD pro exhaust are what I was drawn to. Talked with the builder and he could possibly add a tip option for the stock exhaust.

    we shall see.

Wife was unconvinced. Will have this for sale shortly. Couldn’t get the volume down to her acceptable level.

    $550 shipped.

Overall volume. Tone was fine. It was just too loud in the mornings. Woke the whole house up.

That first cold start in the morning is definitely louder, even stock.

Well that's unfortunate for you and me.
I should've waited. Could have saved myself a couple hundred.

Did you have the non-TRD (resonated) tailpipe to try?
Still too loud with that on?

Thankfully both my wife and I are early risers and go to work early. No kids to worry about.
    Neighbors, on the other hand.....
