I have a Platinum. The audio sound seems to be balanced 80% front and 20% back and personally I like it opposite. When I go into the settings menu Balance & Fade is greyed out, however there is a blue Recenter option. If I hit Recenter it doesn’t seem to do anything different. This feels like it should be the most basic and easy function. Help??

Did you have a source selected and playing? I think you have to have it on first to adjust.

    Try putting it in park.

Many head until controls are greyed out if the truck is moving or in gear.

I've had it in park and playing music while trying to do this. I don't think that's the issue.

    Did you check the manual?

In my Platinum, I go to settings, sound & media, then sound tuning and scroll down that screen. I can tap the arrows to adjust the blue circle to wherever I want. Personally, I like the circle about 1/3 the way between rear seats. The words Balance and Fade are grey and not a selectable option. (I have these options when the truck isn't even running.)

Thank you. So simple - I was missing the "scroll down" to see and move the dot!

It's day 3 of ownership - can you tell? lol :eek2:

    Cheers!

Thanks for the info on scrolling, that helped me too. It's still a bug. The Balance/Fade option should not be grey'd out. You should be able to do either: touch the Balance/Fade and go to the centering screen or scroll down. I think it is a bug because my first thought was, I have to be stopped or I can't use this option (like some other options are grey'd out for this reason). So Toyota should fix it via an update.
