I have a Limited with the automatic headlight option. In the multimedia settings, you can select Brightest, Bright, Normal, Dark, Darker as options for when the headlights come on.

Looked through the manual and not seeing description of what the above settings impact.

The goal is for my headlights not to come on when it is still fairly light out because my screen dims to the point where it's difficult to see.

Let me know if you you can clarify should I go to the Bright or Dark setting.

Adjust to darker. Meaning, it will be darker before they come on.
I had the same question until I did some actual testing.

Thank you! Think I confused myself on what setting to use. I tried to adjust setting yesterday and only have so much light before running out of time to test.

correct me if i am wrong but the MID brightness is independent of the headunit setting. as least for our tundra. had to turn it down during night time since it was so bright vs the center console.

I believe you are correct there is a separate setting for the screen brightness at night, but I think he was referring to when the screen goes into night mode.

True, when the headlights come on (as per your setting) the dash lights & screen dim, so then you can make your adjustment seperate from the headlight setting.

Yes, was referring to when the screen goes into night mode.

Thanks all for the quick feedback.
