    I have 2 08 tundra’s 1 is a limited crew cab other is SR5 extra cab.
I’m looking for information for an auxiliary fuel tank/cell to get more range than the oem 26.4 gallon tank can.
My buddy has a 17 tundra and it came with the 36.4 gallon tank.
What have any of you come up with?

Really looking for an auxiliary tank to drain into the OEM 26.4 gallon tank or a 36.4 gallon to replace the small tank with.

@PhotoNerd linked you directly to a "replacement" tank that would solve your issue. Likewise, an additional 2 seconds on transfer flow's website will yield several "auxiliary" tank options to choose from.

Also, your "buddy" has a 38gal tank. Toyota does not manufacture a 36.4gal tank for these trucks.

There are good write ups on what it takes to swap in the 38gal in here, do a search and see if it's something you want to tackle.

I’m leaning hard to the 38gallon Toyota tank, seems the most cost effect

OEM 38 gal used to be costlier (when the transfer flow was like $1600-1700). There are additional parts to source which contribute to that. Check out some of the write-ups. If you can find one off a wrecked/pick-n-pull then you'd be in better shape cost-wise.

I have the transferflow tank in my 08 and it is well worth the money. Can go close to 250 miles before filling up pulling our fifth wheel. My limiting factor is how long I can sit before wanting to stop. Before I got the transferflow tank I researched adding a secondary tank and found out it is a lot more work doing it correct in a gas truck then a diesel. Aux Gas tank have different standards and cannot be gravity feed if done right. I also looked at getting a larger factory tank but it seems it would cost about the same as the transferflow. Hope this helps.
