I’m fairly good with wiring etc. just wondering if anyone had a wiring diagram or know which color wires to splice for led backup lights and where to splice. I want the lights to come on when in reverse. Some boat landings around here have zero lights. Thanks

Tap into the rear of the trailer plug, center wire. Much easier.

I made mine elaborate. Relay and 3 way switch. On /off/reverse trigger.

So the center wire is bright green in color I assume? And splice the ground into the ground wire on the plug? Thanks

Center wire, color doesn't matter since the plug is universal for all trailers. Why run the ground that long? Just attach the ground to the nearest bolt.

10-4 Now I just got to find which LEDs I want I would go with the flush mount that goes in my bumper, however I believe I will get sick cutting a hole in a brand new bumper.

The cheap eBay slim bars hold up pretty well, I have a couple on my boat for 3 years now and no issues. May get a couple 7” slim bars

TRD sway bar, matching mirror cover, 20% tint, esp aluminum box, Line-X premium, Undercover Flex tonneau cover, led interior lights, winjet smoked tail lights. Road armor rear bumper w/ road armor shackles, go rhino front bumper.
Can I run led back up lights and a light strip off of this or you think it might suck up to much juice?

Might be too much juice. LEDs don’t draw too much power, but check your amperage ratings on everything including the current reverse lights and add them up. Too much draw and you’ll just pop fuses. I’m running LED pods with reverse lights the exact way Jim posted. Everything works great, but I’m already close to max amperage- which you only want about 75% of your rated fuse. I can’t remember if the reverse light run on the same circuit as the trailer plug, but I know I accounted for it.

How about replacing the reverse bulb with some LED bulbs. I swapped mine out and it lights up my driveway when backing up.

I got mine from Lasfit.com, they're still having a 15% sale til new years. You can also change the cargo lights, that should help as well.

I have Led bulbs in reverse light sockets, 4" flush mount in bumper, Mictuning 8" single row on back of trailer, and some 12" submersible marine lights on side of trailer. No problem with amp draw. I spiced in to reverse wire behind taillight and grounded to bumper. I decided cutting plastic was easier then metal. There is really no need for a separate switch. Just turn key on and shift to reverse. The backup lights on truck do no good with my boat. That is why I have the Mictuning on trailer. My trailer has disc surge brakes so it was easy to just splice in to the backup wire on brake actuator.

Nice. Way easier to tap into the trailer plug. You are a god among men. Thansk for the tip.
