Busted my back drivers side window.
Is this a 3 piece part or are they going to have to replace the whole thing?
My window has the slider 16 double cab limited.

Wait, what?!! Didn't you suffer some truck calamity just a few months ago? Maybe we need to take up a collection...

Looks like a total replacement for that. You can replace the slider part.

From what I seen, 230-330.00 for the complete rear window. Sucks you had an "incident" that caused the breakage. I feel your pain. I'm on my 3rd front windshield this year alone.

My wife’s highlander had to get replaced by month two.

My Tundra - on its second.

I’m glad we pay like $7/mo or whatever for glass coverage.

This past summer the kids and I were down in the SW part of the state glamping, and the roads were pretty darn rough/falling apart. I had three rocks hit my windshield at the same time. Three cracks that were fixed, but the winter defrost was to much. 300.00

Lexus is on its second one this year and it needs replaced. The roads suck here due to the rapid temp changes. Breaks the roads up quickly.

I need to look into this coverage.

That was the alternator making noise. It was covered under warranty though.
I've had the alternator, blower motor, and radiator replaced on this truck. It's been a good truck. The guy that owns it just beats the shit out of it.

That sucks, a windshield would be so much worse that would not be a fun drive home with a shattered windshield.
I was hoping it would just be that one side. More of a time thing than anything. I guess I'll be rocking a tape. Window for a couple miles.

I've had the same 2 rock chips on my front windshield for a year and a half now without it cracking. But for some reason the back window didn't want to be a window anymore.

    I've got glass coverage too.

The front window is laminated glass that's why it will take an impact and stay.

Knock on wood; have NEVER had to replace glass in the 15 years I've lived in CO. Been lucky so far. So let's keep it that way

On my 5th windshield in the last few years in my work van and it is busted again. Stay off 270. Just had Safelite out to replace it on Thursday and they are refusing to do the job because I have about 4" of exposed surface rust at the top of the windshield.

Longer list than the wife needs to know about....
You'll want to replace the whole thing.
It'll be faster and look better.
If someone had to remove your back slider then take it apart replace the glass and put it back together labor cost would outweigh the cost of simply replacing the whole unit.

Highly suggest you push for OEM glass in this instance. The aftermarket back sliders always fit like sh!t. This will probably make the cost 3x as much but it would be worth it in my opinion. Maybe check with Roman and see if he can get you a slider cheaper, then you'd just need to find someone to install it.

Be thankful you don't have the roll down crew max window.... big $ to replace that.

A little update on the back window.
I went In last Monday to get it fixed.
They had ordered a solid non slider window for my slider back window.
Then when they were trying to locate the correct parts they proceed to ask me if my back window is aftermarket. Then they seem to find a back window but it has the heat strips in it. Which is for the crewmax sliders.
Well they proceed to tell me I have a crew cab. Even though it's a double cab.
While all of this is happening the jack ass out back is already starting to peel the tape off my back window even though they don't have the parts for it.
I'm supposed to get it fixed Wednesday hopefully.

But here's the best part about having a back window made of shattered glass and tape. I can't open my windows or it might blow out. Yesterday it was warm enough to turn on the a.c. well my a.c. doesn't work. I got a leak somewhere which I wouldn't care about if I could open my windows without losing my back one lol.
