Has anyone found a backup camera replacement with Dynamic Trajectory Guide Lines that shows the curved, Projected backup Path?

    Welcome to the community!

It’s not possible to add dynamic steering lines to the backup camera with the OEM head unit and camera on a gen 2.5 Tundra.

However, a member of this site posted a while back that it can be done with a specific aftermarket Kenwood head unit and an aftermarket replacement camera. I don’t think I saw pics of it actually working but hopefully that will give you a lead to search for more info.

Any luck on locating the post referenced above? I’m looking to replace HU and get new tailgate cam with dynamic parking lines.

If you change the head unit and add a backup camera it should work

This is true, but this suddenly becomes a $1200+ job. The high-end receivers are full of worthwhile perks if you can afford them, but they also sacrifice steering wheel interface unless you further invest in equipment to maintain most of the steering wheel access. These highly capable receivers and the interfaces needed to salvage most of the steering wheel interface can amount to a bill approaching $1500. All of this just for the sake of adding "Dynamic Trajectory Guide Lines" seems hard to justify. My pay grade leaves me unworthy. Lol!

Completely agree. The cost of aftermarket head units is crazy high. I'm about to do what I did in my '81 F150 and cut some plywood for an install kit then slap a Kraco in there.
