    Hey everyone!
Yesterday I picked up a 2007 Tundra CrewMax LTD, and I love the truck, but my only two gripes are no Bluetooth stereo and no backup camera.
What backup camera/head unit combos have y’all had good luck with?

    My must-haves:
    - camera must be able to see ball hitch, as I’m towing 4-5 times per week
    - head unit must have carplay
    - head unit can’t compromise on sound quality
    - not looking to spend more than about $500 on the set

    Thanks in advance!

I have a 2010 Double Cab that I installed a Sony unit with carplay, and the harness to work the steering wheel buttons, inputs for back up camera, bluetooth. Basically everything you need to be modern.
The back up camera is part of a license plate frame and is the perfect view for trailer hitch (Adjustable angle). Works great and didn't break the bank.

Stereo.jpg I installed a Double DIN, off brand Chinese head unit from Amazon - $100.00, dash kit, Metra harness kit and Audio Vox rear camera - 150.00 bucks total, in my 07 SR5. Has all the features you list. Camera mounts to the license frame and is adjustable - great for hooking up a trailer. With dash install and wiring kit, unit was plug and play (no steering wheel controls on my SR5). I primarily listen to MP-3's on an SD card. Unit has been trouble free and has more gadget functions than I have been able to figure out, (or need).

I have the JVC KW-M730BT head unit (purchased in 2017. lol) and a cheap Amazon backup camera integrated into the tailgate handle. I replaced the handle with an OEM 14+ one. Given your low price point, I'd recommend doing something similar. I can post photos this weekend if you need them but I recommend doing some research and not getting the Chinese head units on the market. Stick with the brands people have heard... Alpine, Kenwood, Sony, JVC, Pioneer, etc.

Here's the camera system I got. I've had it installed for over 4 years and the only issue I've ever had is super early in the morning sometimes there's dew on the lens and I can't see because of that. 96% of the time it's perfectly fine.

that is pretty awesome! Is there existing OEM wiring available there or did you have to run everything?

I ran everything separate from OEM. It might be there, but I installed it early on in my Tundra ownership. It was very easy. My old man and I did it in about an hour and 15 minutes.

I put a Sony with Carplay in my Tundra and Tacoma. I bought from Crutchfield and they recommended the best aftermarket camera for my application. I've been very happy with it.

Thanks, it's working out well so far. Occasionally I will have it be slow to connect to wireless Android auto but 9/10 times it connects great. Very nice for the price point!
