I realized today the camera in my tailgate handle is pointing more towards the passenger side. You can see this from the screen but also you can see the camera lens itself is all the way to one side.

Can anyone who has taken this handle off tell me if there is a way to adjust it? I could stick something in there to force it to the center if I have too.

Take it to your dealer. If you break anything trying to fix it first, then you're on the hook for it.

I wouldn’t brake it either way. But Toyota Mechanics probably won’t be able to find the back up camera.

Bumping this to see if anyone has taken the tailgate camera/handle apart and saw a way to adjust the camera? I took it to the dealer and they said they would need to have the truck for a day to take it apart to look and see if it can be adjusted or if they need to order parts. Apparently they don’t have anyone at Toyota who knows that they can just ask.. dealership mechanics are a joke.

I stumbled across a 2021 tundra thread. At least on the prior gen there’s two screws that hold the camera in the handle. Making the camera adjustable by shimming.
