With my tinted windows my reverse lights just aren't bright enough and I find myuself having to roll down my windows to see my side mirrors. Yes, the backup camera does work but I prefer to use the side mirrors. Let's see what you've done to improve your reverse lights!

I feel the same and dropping the windows down in winter just sucks.
I did these on my Chevy years ago,I tucked them up high by the spare tire for more ground clearance plus you can't see them unless your under the truck.
I tapped into the 7 pin harnis reverse wire,so when you unlock the truck they light up,and of course I added led strips under the running boards as well.

I will do reverse lights to the Tundra at some point.

    Worse than OEM?

I have them sitting in a box in the garage, looking for motivation to actually install them.

Due to its smoke lens the output for license plate and reverse light is less than OEM.
The red shines nice and bright.

Any problems with fitement? Did you just cut and install or take the bumper piece off? I'll assume you have a hitch and bed step and there was no interference?

I used Rigid D-Series Pro Diffused (Part number: 212513). The left side had less room due to the power step but it fit in there no problem.

I also used https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07L916VB5?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title to splice in the wiring since I did't want to modify my factory wiring. I just rolled up the 4-pin harness & tie-wrapped it underneath the bumper.

Looks like a ton of work to do the install, not that it would deter me. Their video shows a comparison of stock to their product but it looks like when they turn theirs on it's computer generated and not really the light. It didn't impress me at all.

The panel comes off and then you can determine where to place your lights, there is not a lot of depth available behind the panel, so that will dictate where the light gets placed, otherwise it is a pretty straightforward install. With the Diode Dynamics harness connected to the 7-pin trailer harness, it was just plug and play, no wiring gets cut or spliced.

The wiring harness for the 7-pin plug on the bumper has a connection on the backside of the bumper, you disconnect that harness from the plug and insert the Diode Dynamics harness between the wiring harness and the 7-pin plug. The Diode Dynamics harness adaptor already has the Deutsch connectors to power the Ridgid SRQ's, or any other light that uses the Deutsch connections, already wired into the reverse light wire used by the 7-pin connector.

    1. Simple install...You unplug the harness from the stock 7 pin trailer plug under the bumper and plug the harness into the stock plug and the other end into the plug you unplugged from the stock trailer plug. This is the one I got from Amazon on sale for $20. You have to make sure you get a 7 to 5 pin, not the 7 to 4 pin. The 5th pin (blue wire) is what will power the lights you're installing when you shift into reverse. I'm going to cut the 5 pin plug off and add a Deutsch connector for my light.[IMG]

Diode Dynamics ? too much red .... if you ever get rear ended , you know they did it on purpose... looks like a 3 alarm fire back there.

That is the intent - to be scene, like it or not.
Image in the dark? good luck as the intensity of the DD,BD or Ridged will wash out the image.
