6 inch lift, 37 inch tires, Badlands Apex 12,000 lb winch, Fab Fours concealed winch mount with 30 inch LED, Prinsu roof rack with RC 40 inch LED and 10 inch RC LED's on sides, Auxbeam 12 switch controller, Heretic ditch lights, RetraxPro XR bed cover, Elevate bed crossbars with additional bar that connects them, Pedal Commander throttle control, overlanding solar array (2) LiTime 230ah batteries, Renogy 40 amp DC to DC charger, LiTime 60 amp MPPT, LiTime 40 amp LiFePO4 AC to DC charger, Renogy 400 watt suitcase panels
Hey guys! Getting ready to install a HF Badland Apex 12000 lb winch on my 2023 SR5 TRD Off-Road. I'll be using the Fab Fours stealth from bumper, and am aware that the control box will need to be relocated on the winch. Has anyone already done this? The winch comes with the mounting bracket for the control box relocation, but I am looking for suggestions on the best place to mount it. I'll be posting pics of this setup when complete and let everyone know how well it goes. Thanks in advance for the help coming up with a clever spot to relocate the control box!

Did you ever find a good place for it? I'm in the process of installing one with mine

I relocated mine to the front crossmember. I'll see if I can get pics when I get home.

@texasrho83 curious to see how you mounted it. I mounted by Apex winch to my CBI Baja bumper and am curious to see if it will clear the crossmember or if I’ll need to relocate as well. Would like a game plan ahead of time before installing

It's dark out but here are a couple pics. I think I have more in the One drive... will look. They sell longer cables and you can also make your own to do an engine bay relocation.

I have the factory trans cooler in the way :( I'll have to figure something out though. I think there's enough room up there if I make some brackets on the driver side

I have a factory trans cooler too. I guess in the newer model it's directly in the way where I currently have my control box?

Maybe I'm not looking at where I think I am on your pictures. Here's mine

Ah 2nd gen. What's the clearance like without the top bumper trim part?

What's this? A secondary trans cooler?

Ah my bad, I didn't realize I replied to a 3rd gen thread. But that is an aftermarket power steering cooler. The coastal offroad bumper requires you to relocate the power steering cooler but with the trans cooler in the way, I had to go aftermarket to fit. I think I'm going to try and move the driver side horn and see if I can get it to fit in there vertically.

You could always mount it in the engine bay with some extended cables. Here is a set of universal 12 ft 2 ga cables.

I come back to your build a ton. It's an almost blueprint for what I want in many ways. Thanks for problem solving for me!
