Thinking about installing BD Squadron Sport Amber Fog.. what do you guys think about amber fog light? And is it too bright for incoming traffic?

Awesome lights, but not street legal and I wouldn't want to be the oncoming car if you were driving with them on.

On my fj I ran the Rigid Driving with an amber lens it was bright and not street legal but had no issues with police or people flashing me, also had led headlights and that didnt get me in any issues either soo just be cautious. Best of luck!

Love mine. But don't run them on the street unless severe fog.

Just because someone doesn't flash you doesn't mean that you aren't causing a problem. I've had to squint or turn my head plenty of times due to oncoming vehicles without them ever knowing.
I have the Squadron Sports and use them for their intended purpose offroad. If you are looking for lights that you can run all the time without worrying about oncoming traffic, maybe look at Morimoto or the Rigid SAE compliant fog lights.

Maybe get the amber lens light then put the amber cover on them. Maybe it'll dim them a bit?

    See fine print
This! Listen to the man. These lights are too bright for oncoming traffic. Get dot lights if you want to use them in traffic. Period.

Wow can’t wait to see what they come up with!

Do the squadron fogs have a cutoff? If they do and are aimed properly I don't see how they are too bright to oncoming traffic.

I am considering these as well but would want to use them anytime driving at night not just fog. Foh lights can be really helpful to provide a flood of light directly in front and to the sides. Makes slow speed driving like pulling into a neighborhood at 90 degrees much safer.

I have the wide cornering lenses which I think are the lowest pattern of all of them, however the cutoff is not crisp like a street legal hid projector. Reason being they aren't meant for the road, they are off-road lights, and are great performers.

if Baja Designs had an SAE approved fog light available when I was in the market I would have went with those because I would like to run them all the time. I don't drive my Tundra that much at night however when I do I won't use them with oncoming traffic. For me they are really nice on back roads to light up the shoulder of the roadway as well as inclement weather conditions.

If they aren't DOT/SAE fog's, don't run them in the street. I constantly see regular flood pods in the fog position, and its blinding as hell. I give them a taste of the sun with my 40" light bar and hi beams from retrofits.
