I've searched and can't find a definitive answer. What type of grease should be used for ball joints? I have found that NLGI #2 grease is needed, but I can't find anything that says whether to get lithium, moly, or whatever the base should be for sure.

    Thanks!

What ball joints are you putting grease in? Lower and upper ball joints don't have grease zerks if they are OEM.

Ah, well that might explain why I can't find info on that. I have oem lowers.

If your LBJs are original. Replace with new OEM ASAP. Also read Shity’s megathread.

Lowers come packed with grease and should last the life of the joint. Uppers come with a grease packet, you pack it in during install, and it should also last the life of the joint.

I replaced them myself a while back with oem. Just apparently didn't remember that they don't have zerks.

Life span of OEM LBJ's is 90-100k

shorter if you take your truck off the beaten path.
