My rig is an 08 2wd with roughly 105k. About 1500 miles ago I removed my oem lower control arms for brand new DJM lowered ones. Long story short I’ll be returning to stock height ( thanks shitty Louisiana ).

Would it be a good idea to put back on my 100k lower control arms or spend the coin and hunt down some oem ones with ball joints and bushings?

Going from leveled to lowered to leveled TRD PRO if I can find anyone with take offs under 2k…

Where did you find the lowers and about how much did you spend on them?

Unless you plan on doing upgraded bushings and ball joints I would just order full control arm replacements with everything in them. It will make your life easier. I upgraded, but I took my lowers to a shop to have them press out everything out. The shop said it was a bitch to get everything off. They thought this was a 1 ton because it was so over built and a pain in the ass to get off. One of their chucks broke trying to get the ball joint out, which the shop couldn't believe.

I’ve found some on eBay that clam to be oem and include the lower ball joints.

Guess that’s another 500+ down the drain.

I’ve had mixed experiences with Moog products. I like to keep everything as oem as I can.

I'd check on Rockauto. You can even get Moog there and they will be cheaper.
