What are your tray measuements and what was in it prior? 24F, 27F, and 35 will fit depending on your tray, IIRC.

Shifty makes a valid point. My 00 uses a 27F battery, but that doesn’t mean yours does

My advice is in the world of batteries bigger is always better. So measure your tray and check the specs of the battery you are looking for. If you can fit a series 27 in there that would be best choice. There is so much electronics that cycles after key off that having that extra ah is worth it.

Cant measure the tray tonight as the Tundra is in my shop about 10 miles away. I caqn measure in the morning and also note the cranking amps and cold crank amps, then head to NAPA. I was just hoping someone would know the proper replacement and save me a
20 mile trip before I could go the other direction to NAPA

I believe the AGM group 24F battery is recommended for an 02. I can get you dimensions from my 05 in the morning. I know some people don’t like the Napa batteries but I had a legend battery in 4.0L Tacoma and it was dependable for 4 years. I believe it’s made by Johnson Controls who also makes the trustart.

I want to say the 2000-2002 with tow package had 27f, though, and had a different tray to accomodate the larger size. 35 is smaller than 24F and 27F, so I wouldn't be rushing to bother with a 35.

Ultimately it boils down to what will fit in the tray the truck came with. Probing online, if the tray is 10½" wide, it takes a 24F. If it's 12¼" wide, it takes a 27F. Can you get the shop to measure it, @ENOK?

    In 2000:

    V6 - 35
    V6 w/ tow package - 24F
    V8 - 24F
    V8 w/ tow package - 27F

only difference in later trucks was all 2005-06 V6 use 24F batteries instead of 35.

The plastic tray wasn’t always sized correctly.

So If you can fit the Series 27 that’s what I’d recommend. Nice info above.
