Anyone have this? Worth the money? trying to decide between the Pro XR and Polycarbonate option.

Open to any other brands just don’t want a folding/rolling option..want it to slide.

Have the Retrax Pro XR and love it. Easy diy install and a good price from Real Truck. Pm @SantanaRealtruck if you're seriously considering it. Very durable and secure and it's nice to be able to slide it back without dropping the tailgate.

Sure you lose a little top bed space but there's still enough room for most of my needs.

Still a relatively new owner, so take advice with a grain of salt, but I have the PowerTrax Pro XR and I couldn't be happier. On older trucks I've always had tri-folds, with the exception of 1 vinyl snap-on, so this is a massive step up.

The aluminum looks amazing, everything glides flawlessly, and a few spring rain storms here in DFW haven't let in any water - only when I retracted it with water still sitting on top did any get in the bed. Install was a breeze - even obsessing over getting the gap measurements spot on - went from opening the box to test driving in an hour.

If you're in DFW by chance I'd be happy to show it off.

    I have retrax,
Positive east to use and don’t have to drop tailgate.
Negative latch fails, won’t stay in place when locked , the roll up takes up bed volume. I prefer the folding hard covers

I have the retraxpro xr. Aluminum feels so much more sturdier. Only downside that I have is my 5.5 ft bed is now 5 ft with the canister

I've had the RetraxPro XR for a couple of months. DIY install in under an hour, and that is taking my sweet time. Looks great, retracts smoothly and feels very durable. The canister is not small and I might need to make a few adjustments because my power tailgate will not deploy without assistance.

For traveling purposes I also installed the Rhino Rack cross bars and Swagman bike racks.

I have the Pro XR after having the regular XR on my old Tundra. I like it a lot more. Add to that the lifetime warranty and I think it is worth the extra money. The issue I had with the polycarbonate one was that in cold temps (below freezing but no ice on it) it would not open fully.
