    Hey y’all,

I’m a new member here and still learning the ropes so please excuse me if these have already been asked.
So I just purchased a 24 tundra and am planning on putting a bed cover on it. After weighing out the pros and cons I’ve decided to go with the Bakflip mx4.
    But…I have 2 questions.
    1. According to the manual, my bed is 66in (5ft 6in). I see some stores show the same cover for my year as 5.5 and some show 5.7. I’m guessing this is the one I’d want right?
    2. I looked in the bed and don’t see a drain plug. Where do you run the drain tube without drilling into the metal? Please post pics for reference.
    Thanks in advance.

    What’s wrong with stock?
The bed is composite, aka tough plastic. There should be 4 pre drilled holes all the way forward by the cab. The hose with my OEM cover fit the holes, others have stated that they needed to make holes bigger especially if they had the spray in liner installed. I cut the hose at an angle and fed it through the hole. This picture is the drivers side. The passenger side is the same. You can see the hole in the corner a the other hole is where tube is fed through.

Just enter your truck specs. You’ll get the right one. Drains are simple.

    He wants 0 drilling

going to have to find a barb or fitting that will slide in the existing hole, just go to Menards or something and buy a few, super cheap

otherwise follow what I did with the drill bit size I had for the existing hole , your only cleaning it out a touch and it take two seconds , good luck op

    Hey Lunar,
Just take the correct size drill bit & tap it into the hole & spin it with your finger to clean out over spray from bed liner spray.
You are not making the hole any bigger or removing any metal/composite/etc, just cleaning it up.
It's ok man, you are not hurting anything by cleaning out the over spray on your truck bed holes!

Push drain line hose into holes a good 4-5 inches & they will never come out unless you cut them or pull them out accidentally when removing something from the truck bed.

BackFlip MX4 instructions say to use the middle holes in the truck bed but I used the ones closest to the corners.
Looked under truck to make sure drain hoses would not be draining on anything important or pooling up anywhere.
    Just drains to the ground.

Why do you want a barb?
Why don't you just want to stick the drain hose in the truck bed holes like the instructions tell you to?

i did see he mentioned that - but I figured someone may have mentioned that he isn’t drilling through metal, as it’s a composite bed. I meant to but forgot to say so myself, ( I was happy I found my old photo truthfully) :)

As with all things, plans can change - if his did then it’s an option that’s all.

Love how that looks/works. I’m gonna do the same. Eliminate the long hoses and free up those two bed drains again. Thanks!!

I hope mine comes with that drain line that you have and not the threaded one that’s larger
