Yes. Where in the country are you? If you’re anywhere with actual weather, watch out for rust if you put that in your bed, unless you line the bed first.

You will be ok. We don't use much salt at all in CO in the winter. My 07 had no rust when I traded it in last July. It had a OEM plastic bed liner on it for 7 years. Zero rust. Only a little chaffing in a couple spots. I got rid of it because I like the BedRug liner

If you have it under a diamondback, it’d probably be ok. But if those are carried uncovered, and not garaged, rain or snow gets in at the openings on top and sits in the bed. Granted it takes a while but, if you don’t live somewhere as dry between weather events as SoCal or AZ, you may remove that liner years from now and find rust. That said, it may be surface rust... not a big deal like frame rust exacerbated by salt on winter roads.

I removed mine though and couldn’t give it away. Same with most people on here that try to get rid of those liners, all gens. It would pain me to have to buy one. Up to you but it may be worth waiting a bit to try and get one free near you.

18 years with the OEM Plastic Liner here.
Here is a pic of my OEM Plastic Bedliner that I pulled off the truck for the first time since she was new in 2002. Lots of mulch and some slight surface rust staining in limited areas. Also there were scuff areas where the plastic rubbed the paint. I live near the beach and frequent the sand often. Salt air etc.

No bubbles of rust like I see some people post up. Just about every instance of these major bed rust pictures I’ve seen started from up underneath the chassis side of the bed along the cross members. Maybe focus there with your choice of rustproofing.

I Spray Lined Rustoleum’d the bed with about 5 cans and put the plastic liner back on. It been a great liner and has done well over the years of hauling a variety of items. No dents! Easy to clean. Doesn’t scratch or catch when loading heavy/sharp stuff.

When I was up on the North Slope, 800 miles north of Anchorage, I was surrounded by snow and super minus below zero F. Our biggest issue was LOW humidity. Yes...low humidity. Food for thought. Same thing here in Colorado where we do have 4 seasons. We have higher humidity now than in winter with all the snow we get...

The TOP of my bed is similar. The underside of the bed was ROWDY. I haven't gotten around to cleaning the top of the bed yet.

Here is a link to SOME pictures from my build thread.
