    Howdy,

I wanna mount my RTT on my Tundra.

1st thing I notice is that there are no bed rails.

2nd, I lucked out and my truck does have the factory holes open. Apparently its a big issue that a lot of people have with the "factory" Berliner.

3rd, they're not evenly space out.

I would really like to run these https://heavymetaloff-road.com/toyota-tundra-bed-bar-9-inch-14-21-pair-bare-steel-heavy-metal-off-road.html bed bars since I had em on my tacoma (I have them for sale on my TW account FYI) and they're pretty bad ass. HMOR does a good job and gives a great price on em.

    My questions are;

Is anyone running them (without bed rails) and do you have any pictures of how you mounted them on?

If they bracket holes don't line up exactly with the factory bed holes, can I just drill into the bed somewhere next to them?

What other plug and play racks are they for a hardshell RTT that work without the factory bed rails?

What after market bed rails/substitutions are there? I saw some guys in TW run something like this on their trucks. Not exactly that rail, but something somewhat similar. https://www.grainger.com/product/45...T11fDz1bxnknrVhQ-nRoCDF8QAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

Just buy some OE deck rails, problem much easier solved.

All KB Voodoo and Max Modular bed racks will work with or WITHOUT the deck rails in the bed.

I'm running CBI bed bars and used aluminum "half strut" unistrut in place of the OEM rails. Works perfectly.

I used relentless bars then when To a leer canopy. For the price most of those places charge for a bed rack system a canopy was a smarter choice in my eyes. You get dry storage plus a place to mount the tent, awning etc

I don't think we have a specific picture of that, but our uprights will fit under the cover and attach to your truck with our No Drill Clips.

So you just mount it with screws into the holes where the deck rails would mount?

Im curious how well it would still seal up top. Here’s a pic:

Inside your truck bed is a small flange that our No Drill Clips clamp to.

The thickness of our uprights will create a small gap between the cover and the truck, this can be sealed with weatherstripping if necessary, but usually the gasket that comes installed on the over will seal it up sufficiently.

Do you have a pic of how the "no bed rails" mount up?

I would love to use your Bed Rack with a tonneau on a 3rd Gen. Obviously the tri-fold is out of question but since I need hard cover which one works best with your system? If Retrax is fine should I get one without t-slot rails? Also I am in Canada.

Our racks work with Retrax covers, with or without the T-slot rails, but the setup with the T-slot rails is a little cleaner.

    We ship to Canada!!

Will the 22" high rack clear the roof line or 24" is a way to go? I would like to be as low as possible. And can't find anywhere now what is a load capacity of these Retrax's t-slots. Not sure what the difference is between installing rack on them and directly on the bed.

Your cab is right around 22" high. The retrax cover adds another 3/4", so the 22" rack will just clear the cab (but not the shark fin).

The retrax rails pretty much act as a spacer between the rack and the bed, so the load rating with our rack attached to them will be very high.

It can handle it. This is the KB Voodoo with the Retrax mount and is loaded down quite a bit.
