$174 for some bed rails?! Come on. Anyway I just grabbed some of the bolts needed and need to put a rear rail system to tie down dog kennels. Anyone use some kind of electrical conduit or railing that can be modified? Search tab was no help. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Check craigslist. Where are you located. Just saw bedrail system for less than $100

I would use aluminum 80/20. I may even take mine off at some point and replace with 80/20. The versatility, and selection of mounting systems is endless.

Best place I've found to buy small quantities is Mcmastercarr. Their shipping is surprisingly reasonable (and fast!) compared to anyone else selling long, awkward, heavy parts.

I got lucky I work at a body shop. Tundra totaled so I was able to take the bed rails :)

I just looked for the listing again but it's gone. I live in hunterdon county nj so it may have been a reasonable distance to you. People have also used unistrut. I'm sure you can Google some pics to get a better idea.
