    Hello,

Looking for someone with experience with both the third gen and second gen Tundras. Are the bed rails exactly the same between the two generations? I'm looking at a product that utilizes the bed rails. They say it fits the second gen, but not the third. Hoping they just haven't updated their system yet...

I installed some factory bed tiedowns from a 2015 Tacoma on my 2023 Tundra and they worked perfectly fine. I think they are all the same.

The rail is the same, on par with 2005 to current Tacomas, but the spacing with the inner bed spacing varies because of the indentions of the 3rd ten tundra bed sides.

The indentations of the third gen? As long as the rails are the same that'll do. Thanks.

As far as the product, nothing too exciting. I have a Truxedo TonneauMate that I had in a Titan. It hung from the Titan's rail system using Truxedo clamps. I want to put it in my Tundra.

I only need the U shape. Slides into the rails. I drilled some holes in the TonneauMate's mounts so I could connect it directly into those U shaped bits in the rail as opposed to clamping into something like they want you to do.

23’s rails are the same as my ‘16 Tacoma. Don’t think they’ve changed in a long time.

The width of the bed/space between the bedsides is probably going to be different. It may be too wide/not wide enough for the 3rd gen.
