Anyone have a bed slide? If so what are yalls thoughts on function and stability of tracks. Is it sturdy? Thinking about getting one to keep organized under cover with minimal loss of height.

They are pretty nice and definitely come in handy. There’s also cargo glide which I believe has a higher weight rating depending on what you are wanting to use it for.

Also curious about bedslide. Do you have to drill into the bed to install one?

i've been looking both at BS and CG. As best as I can tell, the CG has a wooden deck which seems really cheap to me. Also I'd have to question its longevity as it would seem it would be susceptible to mold and breakage. The BS has a composite deck which to me would seem like a better solution and worth the money. If anyone has any further input to this, I'd love to hear about it.

That is what I have noticed if I move forward with a slide product it will definitely be the BS. Looks like a solid product. I’m hoping I still have room to clear under my bed cover with an arb or dometic fridge cooler. RRT on voodoo rack over tonneau cover then all our gear easily accessible with bed slide under.

What you described is my exact setup. As far as the fridge goes a 37 or 63 qt ARB will fit perfectly height wise.

I have had the same one in my trucks for 19 years now. I won’t have a truck with out one . Mine is built for the fire service, but now expanded to the public. Very well built, very good quality. I have zero ties to them, they just built top notch bed slides

It’s the best built slider I’ve ever seen !

Thanks for all the advice guys, I’ll look into them.

Porsch that is great to know I’ve been planning my build for a while and that was my big unknown factor keeping me from moving forward.

I have a Highway Products slide in my truck. I don’t have a picture of it in my Toyota to hand but I do in my old Dodge. I have no complaints. It has a lifetime warranty and they just sent me a set slide bearings under the warranty.

I was really hoping that I wouldn't have to drill into the bed for one of these products. I reached out to BS to see if they have the no-drill option coming for the Tundra. They showed this no drill product at sema of last year.

Either way, I think i want to get one of these. Anyone else down for a group buy? I've seen these done before here and on the Taco site with up to 18% off depending on number of participants.

Or i wonder if these go on a black friday deal? :monocle:

I appreciate it but im just not a fan of Auto anything. Just about every contact I've had with them has been poor to say the least. I think the group buys of past have been with someone else. I'll look into it

    :fistbump:

I'm sorry to hear that. If it was a Bedslide group buy held through AutoAnything that was me. Still here, still around. Happy to help you however I can. Maybe even make up for the poor taste other people have left. I have heard your taste buds change with age.

Poor attempt at a joke, but really, let me know if there's anything I can do

    Taco thread - https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/autoanything-com-group-buys-and-discounts.497320/

 Thanks brother, as are you!

@tazzdevil08 I'm happy to help ya get a great deal on a Bedslide. I'm on the tacoma forum as well, I can rope both forums in for a GB - but there is the requirement for patience lol. Shoot me a PM with what you'd like to have, I'll see what I can do for you now and then you can decide if a GB is more up your alley and we'll go from there.
I'm clocking out from work for the day momentarily here so chances are I won't log back in my work system again until Monday when I get back - so no rush. Always around on the forum though if you have questions.

No, you didn't have anything to do with it. Most recently, it was just a chat specialist on the AA website. He was pretty rude when I was asking about a discount for a diamond back cover and wasn't helpful but just a smartass. I tried to give you guys another chance even after my first experience of being sent the wrong rotors which ultimately cost me over $500 in losses. Its a long story and partially my fault for not checking my items as soon as I got them. but considering the situation it would leave anyone with a bad taste in their mouth. Its water under the bridge now and its not your fault I'd just prefer to bring my business elsewhere.

edit: apart from that the marketing at the AA is like a huge clickbait. I get tons of 20% off coupons which of course bring me to the site but there is so many restrictions on it that nothing I want is discounted. I get trying to drum up business but I have to say from a consumer standpoint its pretty annoying.

Oh man, coming from operations (or as my buddy used to call it - phone jockey) I despise the 20% off advertisements. I’ll leave it at that.

Also understood. That’d leave a poor taste in my mouth as well.
While idk about the rotors, so no comment - I can say DiamondBack doesn’t take discounts and a sales agent requires a manager to override it and apply a discount. Gotta reeeaaaalllly work it to get a discount on that brand via chat or a call.

    Eitherway, totally understand going elsewhere.
End of the day I don’t care where you buy your stuff so long as you’re getting the best deal. This goes to all members, not just you.

The bedslide in my 2018 Tundra started in my 2001 GMC. Great product. I run a topper and wouldn't have a topper without one. I bolt mine down with 3 1/2inch bolts.

Id like to put one in but I have a hard tonneau cover and I dont want to lose the height in the bed. My generator and cooler fit perfect under the cover. They wouldnt with the slide.
