Being Prompted To Create Pin On The Infotainment Screen While Driving. Okay, the BS is mounting with this F'n truck- the application engineers should be banned from ever creating content- this is the craziest absurd thing I would have ever imagined.......owning a vehicle that while your driving, listening to music the screen goes off & a pop up message comes up to add a pin for driver connect service! Really Toyota? Another surprise from my 2024 Tundra! At this point I miss my 2007 5.7l gas hog Tundra! This truck is a major headache of surprises.

Yep. I created a PIN when I bought my truck in September of 23. I might have had to re-enter the PIN once over the last year. I let my connected services subscription lapse when the year was up. Over the last few weeks, I've had to enter the PIN 3 or 4 times. All these PIN requests may be related to the lack of a connected services subscription, or Toyota may have pushed a software update recently that included this improvement. Either way, it's annoying.

I let my subscription lapse for 6 months and never got a PIN request. Certainly is odd how there's different experiences with this stuff.

This has happened to me twice. It was extremely frustrating because solutions were all over the place, and most didn't work. I also failed to save the original PIN number from the initial setup.

The solution for me was to delete my initial profile, and go thru the entire setup process again, including a new PIN number, which I wrote down and saved.

The second time it happened was after a software update. That time, I entered the saved PIN number, and it worked. No problems since then.

I've had it happen 3 times to me. It's a PIA to deal with, especially when you're driving.
