Well, just created an account on here after getting my '25 Limited TRD OR. Have had a Black Armor mat on order through etrailer (apparently the only US dealer) for 4 weeks. Supposed to ship first of May. Just was told it'd be August. I can't wait that long. Anyone have a recommendation for anything similar? Looking for something without tall ridges/grooves in it and fairly thick. Everything on Amazon seems cheap.

I just bought one of the cheap ones and put a carpet remnant, but I also have a cap.

Get something cheap for now, like a horse stall mat. Wait for the Black Armour. I love mine.

I came from a 2015 Tacoma with a cap. Looking to put one on this one too, however I've never had a bedrug. Always thought things would slide around too much on the carpet. Looking at the OEM mat, looks about as close to my liking as the Black Armor. I wonder if they're pushing all these Black Armor orders out hoping to avoid the tariffs?

I drove 10 miles with my tailgate down on the highway with my impact driver sitting on the tailgate.
I forgot the tailgate was down when I left the house.

It holds things well unless you're slamming on the brakes or driving like an asshole.
It is also a knee saver and nice enough to sleep on if camping.

But if you want rubber, then get rubber..

I'll definitely consider it once I get the cap. Just never had one or knew anyone that did either. Thanks.

Doubt it's the best, but I like my RC mat well enough. Heavy, thick rubber, fits well and non-skid compared to the plastic bed.
I went with a bedrug mat on the tailgate though.

Bedrug, especially running with a cap. I never had anything slide on my BedRug. Extremely tough, washable, easy on the knees, and dog friendly too.

Have a Les Schwab dealer nearby. Took them 4 days to bring in the Black Armor mat for me. They don’t list it anywhere on their site, but they will bring it in if you call them and ask.

The rough country mat is pretty thick and rubbery. And at $100 shipped, can't really be mad at it.

Another vote for the bedrug. Never had one in the past but now I'll never use anything else.

Another vote for a Bedrug. I used one for 7 or 8 years in the bed and would never use anything else. It put up with tools and materials going in and out of the bed everyday for that time. My buddy has had one in his duramax for over a decade that is open to the elements; it gets all sorts of stuff in the bed including car parts and is more work than mine but perfectly functional. I used a factory rubber mat for a few months and things honestly slide around more on the rubber mat.

I installed a CargoGlide and actually purchased a roll of bed mat material (you can buy a fitted kit or just the material itself) and cut it to fit the cargo glide to keep things from sliding around. It also keeps things from rattling and clinking and clunking around in the bed.

Unless you live where water freezes. The part between the gate and freeze together and pull the rug off the gate. I still recommend the bed rug, just a heads up you may have to cut it.

Tint and wheels. Decked box in the bed. S and B Cold Air filters under the hood. Shiftpower throttle response controller.
I had a heavy duty Toyota factory rubber mat in my 2019. It was heavy and stayed put. When I bought my 2023 I cut the edges off of the old mat and installed it on top of my Decked drawer system that I installed. It was sub $200 at the dealer.

Bed rug all the way. Had one in my 2008 for 8.5 years. Stuff doesn’t slide at all, it’s tough, and water and stuff passes right through. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Never thought of this, but makes sense. Something to consider for folks with winters for sure. I run a topper on my truck though and haven't had any issues in the 3 winters it's been in there.

I'll agree that the black armor bed mat is awesome, sucks you'd have to wait that long to get it. There also aren't as many options if you have the 6.5 bed. Have you tried just calling a Les Schwab store in the NW to see if shipping one for an extra cost would even be an option? Even with a nominal shipping fee, it would still likely be cheaper than what etrailer is charging.

I'm running a diamondback cover - water coming from the top is not the source. It's the weekly visits to the touchless car wash where the humans pressure wash the lower tailgate/bumper area thoroughly.
