So you wanna build a Street Fighter Tundra? That’s what I got. The only rough terrain my truck see are potholes . Just get the next size up tire for more cushion and if you’re lucky a set of Trd Pro suspension take off.

The most expensive ones you can find will be good.

Not to hijack, but…. Being a suspension idiot, what advantage does a coil over have vs. the current suspension? Is having a great on road ride such blasphemy?

Im pretty happy with my billstein 6112/5160 with 35's on 18 inch rims. Much better than stock suspension with 20 in wheels on Nitto GR. Probably all relative to what your running now vs what you want to acheive.

Slap on the SOS Performance lowering kit, and size down your rims so you have more sidewall. Add heavy duty sway bars for best results

I should’ve been more specific. I’m currently running the westcott 3/1 collar lift. 35” tires on a 17” wheel. The roads are terrible here so looking to upgrade my suspension to make all the potholes and bumps less harsh.

I got the Dobinsons IMS kit to replace my Westcott kit and ride is much better. One of the best options out for the money. Obviously the more expensive kits probably ride better, but I didn’t want to pay that much. F268D0A7-26CE-469E-A3F6-D448502097F0.jpg853BB869-1EE8-4CEE-B9CD-B80CFB20EF4D.jpg

Pretty sure he has a 2-2.5 gen. I don’t think Bilstein has released 6112/5160’s for the 3rd gen yet.

I just did it based on weight I had on the truck over stock. For the front, I have an extra 200 or so lbs from my C4 bumper and then some extra weight from my Prinsu rack, so I went with the heaviest option (for 2 inches). In the back, I only really load it up a few times a year, mainly during the summers, so I just went with the lightest option (for 1 inch). Went with 2 in the front and 1 in the back so I could keep the rest of my stock components the same (except I upgraded my bumpstops). Didn’t want to shell out the cash for new UCAs, extended brake lines, and all that until later down the road

Thats what the individual referred to, a 2.5 gen Tundra. I wouldn’t rely on that info since the 3rd gen has different ride characteristics.

For the record, I also had a 2.5 gen and switched to the Bilsteins and the ride did noticeably improve.

Okay….I wish Bilstein would drop set already.

I mean, technically they have with the shocks from the TRD Lift.
