There is detergent in gas. I went over 200k on stock injectors before upgrading.

Hey Chief. Try the 250cc injectors. They’ll put hair on your chest.

Sounds good but I have enough, but I just want the check engine light to stay off, replaced all O2 sensors, both converters and resonater, plugs, and coils, is the injector job a diy.

Did your dash look anything like this?

Edit: my truck was not in 4x4 at the time. Dash randomly lit up like this after one of the big temperature swings here in PA.

Got ya. Just a simple $10 fuel additive worked for me. That and unhooked the battery for a minute to reset the lights.

I went to autozone to get the codes printed off and the guy there told me he had the exact same issue years prior in his tundra, same model. Told me that the code was the same thing he had and his actually went away when the temp raised up and maybe dried out the sensor or something. Either way he told me it was the emissions system and not really a big deal if it’s running good. I gave it a couple days and it actually did go off on its own but came back a day later. This was with all the crazy weather we had a few weeks ago. So I ran the additive and reset the battery and it runs like a beast again with no lights

Right? Wrong? I don’t know, seems to be working so far haha.

I used fuel system cleaner called B12 from Wal-Mart. Worked good but I didn't have a light on. Just sluggish and surging. Fuel mileage increased too

You may be going into AIP failure. Its ok, on your 08 you can buy a kit to bypass it rather than spend the 2k to fix it. Toyota did extend the warranty periods on those though.

    On the truck?...Or off? No.

Techron has always worked for me whenever my 22RE would begin to miss, stumble, hesitate, etc. You get it as an additive in Chevron gasoline, but Chevron is pricey here compared to other top tier brands. I just buy whatever good gasoline I can find cheapest, and pour Techron in the tank when needed (rarely).

BG 44K is a great fuel system cleaner and it should clean your EFI system. It’s basically kerosene that makes fuel burn hotter and it burns the bad residue off.

I think it was MotorTrend magazine that did a test on a bunch of fuel cleaners. STP complete fuel system cleaner worked the best. I always use top tier gas and then the STP cfsc every 10,000 miles. I got 250K+ miles on a V-8 4Runner with no problems. Take care of your ide and it’ll take care of you. :D

New check engine codes, PO172, P0175 and P0100, replaced the maf, cleared the codes and the check engine light came back on with same codes, bad gas mileage, hesitation or jerking going up steep hill , and hard acceleration , smooths out when I leave up gas pedal.???????¿?

I'm not sure what to tell you, you've pretty much done everything within reason to stop the CEL from coming on and to stop the "bad gas mileage, hesitation or jerking going up steep hill , and hard acceleration..." It may indeed be the MAF sensor not communicating correctly with the ECM, that is, the ECM is getting a bad signal from the MAF.

Does not make sense. System too rich yet it's jerking and feels like it's misfiring? The P100 code is MAF or VAF A Circuit Malfunction code and you replaced the MAF sensor? You replaced the fuel filter, and "...replaced all O2 sensors, both converters and resonater, plugs, and coils..." and it's still not running right and it's throwing the stupid CEL?

Might be the ECM. Not sure what the heck else could be wrong.
