Best full length antenna

whelp, im the function over form type. it seems that's less than common where antennas are concerned. i cant search the forum for best antenna without a million results for stubby antennas.

when it comes down to it, i want it to work. is there a good or great brand of aftermarket antenna that anyone has found to work particularly well?

i rarely listen to the radio, but when i do, its usually trying to tune into football on the way home from my cabin and the better the reception means more of the game i get to listen to

 

why aftermarket? The stock antenna works fine and you can probably pick up a good used unit for next to nothing.

 

stock unit snapped off so looking for a replacement. wasnt sure if there was an aftermarket one that would work better, or be less prone to snapping off. but honestly i hadnt thought about a used oem one. you're right, with everyone going to stubby, there might be some cheap ones out there.

yeah those were the guys i saw recommended for the stubbys a lot so if i didnt get any responses here i was planning on going with them. wondering if anyone has been able to see any notable improvements over oem.

What you need is either an amplified antenna or a signal booster such as this https://www.crutchfield.com/p_12044UA60/FM-Signal-Amplifier.html
Without a amplified antenna you won’t see any Benefit between brands. Make sure you get an antenna that’s at least 32” for best reception.
You could also try mounting your antenna away from the engine bay for better reception. The booster will only boost signals Within range. For instance if you are picking up a station and it’s really weak. It’s not magic but it helps in a lot of situations.
