I replaced my OEMs with some TYC from Rockauto last year in the fall. Think they were $80 shipped for the pair. No complaints oof quality and even came with new bulbs which Im still using.. Did have to adjust them after install but everything, including adjustments too about 60-90 minutes.

Currently on month 2 of TYC from RockAuto, seems good. Nothing that stands out about them to me which is a good thing.

Dead stock with oem 16" starfish wheels. We'll see how long that lasts. :) Topper of unknown origin.
I replaced one of mine with Toyota oem. The other one was recently replaced during ins. paid body repair by the PO so I paid the big bucks to have them matchy-match. Two years later they're great. I searched endlessly beforehand and heard a mix of good and bad regarding aftermarket units. The oem price for two is steep though.

To answer your question, it'd be interesting to test oem units on light pattern, durability, value, etc. to see if they're the 'best'.

Its always a crap shoot with aftermarket parts like these. I guess I got lucky. And you right about Toyota and their OEM prices... GAWD they are proud of them!

Dealer put new tyc ones in mine for inspection. They seem fine, I swapped in led bulbs.
