Don’t flame me...I did a search and couldn’t find anything other than a closed group buy and a dozen “what battery” threads.

I’ve got to buy a new battery for my 2017 CM and have decided on a Northstar.

Didn’t know if there was a board sponsor or someone y’all recommended/had good experiences with.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Just go to a Batteries Plus and buy the X2. It’s literally the same battery rebranded for Batteries Plus. You can find 10 percent coupons all day and it comes with one extra year warranty. 5 VS 4.

Yep - What BTBAKER said. I ran one years ago in my silverado SS and had no idea it was even a northstar but it lasted 4x longer than the 2 optima red tops I killed.

Echo what BTBAKER said. I got one for my Tundra and my other SUV also.

while you’re at it, get a CTEK charger to top off that AGM.

How often do you do this? I haven’t done it yet. I have a 10 amp charger I could use.

I just picked one of these up today. Awesome batteries. Replaced a 3 year old OEM that had died. SOLID purchase in my opinion.

Maybe someone will finally recommend batteries plus.

I’m just here to hold the lighter for @hagrid.

With my Odyssey Extreem; even after 2 years it s still like the battery has more power than the starter needs. Every time I turn the key, it s like, damm I hope the started doesn t blow up.

Apparently Northstars, Odyssey Extremes and X2 27Fs are backordered for months... Just picked up a 27F Odyssey Performance. Interested to see how it does, never had one of their batteries before...

I bought direct from Northstar, placed my order and heard nothing but crickets for 5 days. I emailed them and said "if you can't fill the order, please issue a refund or I can have the payment blocked through my credit card provider". That same day and a few hours later they responded with a FedEx waybill number. It was delivered the next morning.

I'm not sure I'll ever buy from them again. YMMV.

So... Costco has an amazing warranty. Auto batteries are 3 year 100% replacement no questions asked. When you turn in it resets your 3 year clock. No kidding. I was shocked they actually told me this. So, it is hard to but a more expensive battery when you can get a new one every 3 for only purchasing the original. Golf cart batteries are only 12 months but same deal.

Not certain. Interstate maybe. Granted it is no AGM NorthStar but that warranty makes you have to consider.

Full disclosure I bought the batteries a few years back and that truck got totaled so I never replaced the battery. They did take a golf cart battery no questions asked inside that 12 months. I would make sure the warranty is the same and they haven’t changed in the last 12-18 months.
