Haven’t seen them before. Almost like an old mud terrain. I wonder how loud they are.

Website doesn't give much detail but something tells me it's very heavy and way overkill for anything these trucks are meant or will do. It's marketed specifically towards HD trucks and off road construction jobs so it's probably a high ply count which makes for a stiff ride.

Not really. This is what I’m running currently-
    IMG_0768.png

Here are the specs on these BFGs

    IMG_0767.png

My truck also weighs 7,000 empty so I’m in HD truck weight territory all the time…

In the late 90’s we had mud terrains on a few select broncos. Aired down, they were incredible in the desert. They were loud on road but we kept them in the dirt at night. Great tire.

Good looking tire IMO. Looks to be a cross between their mud terrain and all terrain. Appears a lot of tire manufacturers are doing the same. Looking forward to some reviews.

I've been curious about these, too. Only guessing, but thinking the rubber compound might be hard, which is great for a long lasting tire, not so great for off-road traction.

First I’ve seen of these but they look very similar to cooper rugged treks. I have those on an f250 and they are great on and off road. They make a little noise but not even close to an actual mud tire

Had them once before on an SUV. Just found a good deal on a gently used set and figured why not. They were great, wore like iron. Been thinking about a set for my truck, but they are really heavy compared to other good options. Time will tell.

Question is at 15 psi and 7400 lbs on them will it matter?

Well hell, I had a set of these and a set of Yokohama Go15 both in my Amazon cart for about the last two weeks for comparison. Same size 285/75 18. I was looking at the weights about 10 days ago and these were listed at about 68 and the Yoko's were listed at around 35 ish. Since I'm really happy with the Yoko's and saw the substantial weight difference, I was thinking maybe best just to get the Yoko's again. Now, that you said the Nitto's are heavier, I just checked two other sites and I'm quite pleased to discover that there's not a huge difference between these and the Yoko's. Damn Amazon!!! I should have known! I'm very happy to be back in this camp, thanks!

First impression - very happy with the tires after the first ten miles. They look like they belong on a Humvee but are not roaring down the road. I’ll update more when I get some miles on them. Starting at 38 psi.

That truck is looking good and very capable with that new armor and shoes. Very sweeet! Any plans for tow mirrors?

No plan for bigger mirrors at the moment - I bash these small ones on the trail plenty. @TRDFerguson can confirm.

Those look great. I like BFG tires but I'm going to give Falken a try next.

Does the sun in Arizona tend to kill your tires before miles?

Good point on the UV, Starbrite marine protectant is my usual weapon against the ☀️. Usually hit my tires with a heavy spray about once every 8-10 weeks and they hold up well.

5-6 years and they’re heavily cracked has been my experience. I’ve only been getting 30k miles a set which is about 2.5 years of driving for me.

My tires have been installed since 2019 and still have 7/32 tread left but they aren't great in the rain anymore and they are getting loud. I'm considering replacing them. It sucks how much tires are now.

In 2019 I paid $180/tire for KO2's. They are now 75% more. Over $300 per tire.

Did a 100 miles round trip up to 9,000 ft on Mt Lemmon and put them through some snow. Traction, feel, handling are all improved over the Nitto. Never spun a tire. Under 50mph noise is comparable - these hum a little more over 55mph than the Ridge Graps.

No issues with acceleration or braking - excited to get them in the dirt eventually.

Got them on the interstate for the first time. Handling/balance seems really good, tracks nice. Over 60 the tires get progressively louder. To be expected with the tread pattern but almost mud terrain road noise on the freeway. Still love them but maybe a consideration if you daily the interstate.

Mileage didn’t seem to take a hit - topped off after burning half a tank - 207 miles according to the trip odo, 224 when you account for the increased tires size - ended up at 14mpg hand calc - trip computer said 13.0 which is dead on if you use the 207 miles the truck thought it went.

Almost 4,000 miles on these now - took them in for a balance and rotation. These will get the ultimate test in Moab next weekend.

definitely the perfect size tire for these trucks.

I see a hard decision between these and the Toyo RT Trail I've been considering. Both close. I'd like to see a bit more
siping on the tread. Both a solid heavy E rated tire and tread design is good on these, I like it.
Curious to see how they work in Moab, but seriously would rather see them on wet rocks of the west coast
    not the grippy slickrock.
