Has anyone done a "big three" electrical upgrade? A lot of audio folks do this (and many people say it is a waste of time too unless huge watts) and there can be a measured improvement to the amps performance and it is relatively cheap. I have an audio system that is at 800 W total, though never pulling that consistently, or even close.
    It consists of:

This upgrade replaces or augments three key cables in the electrical system with 1/0 or 4 gauge wires: the battery ground to chassis wire, the chassis to engine block wire, and the alternator plus to battery plus wire.

I am wondering if there is anything I should watch out for in doing this. Some put a fuse between the alternator and the battery, not sure if that is really needed.

    I[IMG]

Where would be good spots to attach the wire to the engine?

Probably. But I'd rather it be too long than too short.

Custom made cables? Nice! That could come in handy. Bookmarked.

Heard nothing but positive things from CE, but there's also someone on one of the forums that knocks out proper beefier cables too.

Hey @bmf4069 did you upgrade your Big 3 upgrade stuff? if not I can help you with doing the big 3 upgrade. If you can help me with the cable lengths then I make customized 1/0 cables of good quality.

I do that for Toyo Land cruiser/LX already. The price would only be cost plus shipping for you since I am looking for a Gen 1 Tundra truck to work with me to get the measurements correct for the kit. I kinda have an idea but getting exact lengths is better..

if anyone other member wanna give it a shot as well hit me up via PM.

If you’re still doing the big 3 kits I’d be interested in one for a first gen tundra.
