I was curious to see if anyone was running these together. I got a recommendation to do so, but wanted to see who all have done it.

I have a 2014 TT CM, running 5100s all around. Did anyone upgrade their front springs as well?

Yeah have at it! As @Hbjeff said just make sure to move the circlip to the lowest setting to avoid coil bind.

Depends. What is your reasoning for even considering doing it now? Are you lifted on 5100s?

Not yet! I just ordered a whole new setup, Im running 5100s, coachbuilder shims for the front (.5 to offset the tundra lean), and coachbuilder shackles +2 for the back.

In this case, then yes do it. Achieves the lift you want and maintains up/downtravel characteristics of the 5100s. For your use case is it "necessary"? No, but it is nice to have a little bit of stroke left in the shock if you were going to ask the max out of them in terms of ride height.

I have ordered the springs! Im so excited about this build, my previous thought was to go with the Rough country 3.5 in lift - but too many people told me to stay away from that. What are your thoughts?

I bought the RC 3.5 “leveling” kit and its terrible. The only good that came from it are the UCAs. I’m about to replace the front coil overs with Bilstein shocks with some (tbd) coils and replace the N3 shocks that came with the RC kit in the back. My truck rides like a skateboard since lifting it so now I’m going to drop some $ to do it right. I’ll just take the loss on the RC kit since I at least got some UCA out of it…

Where did you order from and can you share the specific items you ordered please? I’m looking to basically do the same as you but I’m using UCAs from the prior kit I had ordered

Don’t you already have 5100s and now getting lift springs? Wouldn’t you be throwing away everything you just bought?
I can’t tell where the OP picked up his stuff, but we have everything you need here at Hotshot Offroad. Shocks, springs, etc. Happy to help answer any questions you have too.

I do not have the 5100s, they are currently sitting in a box :D

My current setup is a 1.5 in leaf spring in the back and a spacer lift in the front on OEM shocks.

My new build - 5100s on front and rear; coachbuilder shackles +2 in the rear, eibach 2.5 in springs in the front with a .5 shim on the right side and 2.5 shims on the driver side to offset the "tundra lean".

I bought my stuff from different vendors. (Coachbuilder, and shock surplus)

@tundrabubba Let us know how it works out for you. I'm actually having this done to my truck later this month on the 28th. The only difference i believe my mechanic had said about a 2" spring going in the front with the bilsteins set at the lowest setting. Im excited for this, i hope it works out well.

I am curious on why he said the 2in vs 2 1/2 in springs?

Yea not sure exactly why. I did mention that I was ok with a little rake. Im guessing they’re thinking 2 inches is good enough to get leveled

    Any updates on this ?
I have a set of 5100's on the way and need to ditch my front spacer blocks. I need to get as close to 3" lift as possible and maintain a comfortable ride.
Cant decide on the 2" or 2.5" Eibachs.

Yes, so what I ended up with is the Bilstein 5100’s set at the lowest setting with 2in. Eibach lift springs. The rear end is stock with just the Bilsteins. I got about 2in of lift in the front with a little rake in the back, which I’m really happy with. Ride quality is really noticeable compared to stock setup. Rides so much more stable and takes corners well. If your looking for more lift I’d say look into the 2.5in spring. I can say I expected a little more lift out of the springs but still happy with it. Let me know if you have any questions.

Yes, it rides like a dream and I have exactly 3" of lift. I had to use one 1/4" thick spacer on the drivers side to correct the 1/2" of lean but the ride height exactly matches the previous spacer lift. I didn't have one available, so I chopped one off one of the spacer blocks.
The 5100's at the lowest setting combined with the +2.5" Eibachs... and it rides as good as it did in stock trim. Very comfortable. The new Bilstein's keep the truck very planted and stable. Massive improvement over the stock shocks and money well-spent. I am super happy with it.

Man that is great! Im glad everything worked out for you. I feel the same way with my setup now that it’s been a few months. I definitely have been noticing the tundra lean though . I knew about it going into it, I guess I just wanted to see if it needed it & yea it definitely does! I guess I’ll just go with 1 shim on the driver side here soon. I also noticed the driver side rear sagging a bit parked on a sloped driveway, but that was one time, if I notice it more I may be looking into new leaf springs. Gearing up to get new wheels & tires but wanting to make so many more upgrades until then. I’m loving your wheel setup, what are the dimensions, those tires look beefy! Thanks for the pictures, you know that question was coming next.

@Dragracer_Art with your lift setup what did you have to do to fit those 37's? any rubbing or chopping?

Yes, I had to chop the cab mounts. If I had used an aftermarket upper A-arm I might have gotten away without the chop... but with the stock upper arms there wasn't enough adjustment available to push the tires forward any more. I did the chop in my garage. Super easy to do

Wouldn’t you want it set at the highest setting to avoid coil bind? Please explain!
