Black Chrome Exhaust Tip

Hello All!

Has anyone installed the Toyota branded black exhaust tip? Part # PT9323422102

If you have do you mind posting what the look was before and after? Also, what was the process like for installing?

Sorry if this has already been posted. I searched and could not find anything!

 

I just ordered one. Install is very simple. 2 half moon collars install onto existing exhaust just above flare out, new tip slides over exhaust and tighten bolt/clamp onto collars.

I just used some $ 12 high temp glossy black spray paint from Auto zone

little dirty from driving up to Canada. But slips on over stock pipe.

I ordered mine through my local dealer. Got it next day.

What is the measurement of the opening that slides onto the tailpipe? Is there a spacer kit?

Wondering if this is one of the items I should remove when the ‘22+ itch hits.

Does anyone know if this comes standard on certain trims? I just took delivery of a platinum hybrid and mine came with this installed. Looks really good against the other black and black/chrome accents

 

It's an available option. My Platinum didn't come with it

 

Oh interesting… well I’ll chalk up then as a “thank you” for waiting 5 months for delivery… my build date 4/29 and it was delivered 9/1

 

I ordered one from Sparks. I believe it cost $64

You are not wrong.

I got it from theyotagarage for like $90 shipped, but they were the only ones who had it available online when I got it, so I didn't have much choice. You can probably shop around for a better deal now.

 

Been debating on getting the black chrome or regular chrome for my Midnight black 1794. Any suggestions?

 

If you are keeping the chrome of the 1794 I would say get the matching chrome exhaust tip. However, if you are thinking about changing that out, then the black. I have the black chrome on mine and it looks very nice. However on a black truck, you might not notice.

 

The black chrome exhaust looks great, but really hard to keep clean. Any product that would help keep dirt from sticking would probably burn off with the heat

 

I plan on ceramic coating mine. From my research it’s ok to ceramic coat exhaust tips. Heat does not affect coating. Got lots of leftover from coating wheels.

 

Does the tip come with the matching clamp? I see the black and chrome clamps offered alongside the tip on most parts sites but none of them say whether or not the tip kit includes it.

 

Mine came with a clamp. I don't know what you mean by "matching", but it tucks back behind the exhaust tip so you can't see it when installed.

Edit: I think I see what you mean. Like, is the black exhaust clamp also black, in which case yes, it is. But again, you can't even see it unless you are under the truck looking for it.

 

Sorry my tailpipes are pretty dirty in these pics, but I just researched and found a nice dual black chrome exhaust tip of all places on Amazon (random no brand name and please don’t ask me to link anything as that’s far above my abilities) and had my local exhaust place “cut & paste” and I think looks great. Out with the single chrome and in with the dual black chrome…
