Has anyone use the Black Fluid Film? Need to have the truck sprayed before the northeast winter is in full swing. Any advantage of the black over the regular?

That's what I love about this forum. I never knew FF made black. Sorry I can't answer your question, but I was going to switch to Woolwax since people have had good things to about WW. Woolwax does come in black also.

It is the same formula and protection, just tinted black.

Fluid Film Black® supplies the same unmatched rust protection as original Fluid Film® only in a dark tint Black is ideal for covering areas with existing rust or coating visible areas where a rich black color is more desirable. This includes the frame, axles, floor pans, and suspension components. Fluid Film Black® is compatible with the original and can be used in conjunction with each other. Fluid Film Black® can be applied over existing areas previously treated with the original Fluid Film® coating.

I used black wool wax. I liked it since it deepens the black on the underside. It’s the same viscosity as the clear and doesn’t stink.

I did not know there was black FF.

I haven't used that, but I have Amsoil HD Metal Protector showing up today for the same reason.

We don't get much snow, but we do have fairly rainy winters. If there is a 5% chance of it freezing, the salt trucks are out in force.

I get mine sprayed with NH oil which has a clear and a black, I get the clear. If you get the black, everything that isn't black, like the floor pans, shocks, sway bar etc is going to look black, I imagine it would look like a mess. If you had an old vehicle and the underside was all surface rusty, then I would imagine it would be an improvement.
