Blacked out front grille emblem?

Has anyone seen or figured out a way to black out the front grille emblem on a 2020 Tundra? I can't find one anywhere (factory or after market) but I have to assume people have fully blacked out this one too. The assembly has the logo embedded in a thick clear coat so it's not like you can just swap it out or even do an overlay. Thoughts?

 

No one has that I know of. Probably because that emblem is the cover for your TSS sensor and radar cruise.

 

Yep I swapped out the lower grille and hood bulge to color match and moved over the TSS assembly but I'm just surprised that there isn't a stock one for the blackout packages. They seem to be so popular in the last couple years. Isn't the 2020 emblem and TSS the same as 2019? You'd think after that long there would be an insert or overlay option.

TVD has a decal that can go over the it so it's no longer chrome. I'm sure they could do it in black if you were wanting a blacked out emblem. Mine is in the mail, but @Berdine has the decal if you look at his pictures.

Yeah, he can make them in any color. I got the voodoo blue color match. Turned out awesome!

Looks great, I'm looking to accent a few things on mine like the front emblem with blue, did this mess with the sensor at all? I looked on the etsy page but couldn't find this specific product, did you ask for this specifically or was it on there and I'm blind?

 

No problem with the sensor at all. I just emailed him what color I wanted and what year my tundra was

How do you install this? Does it just go over the emblem? Or do you take it apart?

Got mine on. Impressed with the color but not impressed with how it went on. I had a ton of issues but finally got it looking decent. Up close it doesn't look well done but from a distance of 10 feet it looks fine.

 

@RobertD I had issues also, thought maybe was due to crappy weather. I mad a slit in mine and let them over lap in the center on the bottom ring.

Car color change film, cut it into the shape of the car logo, it seems that some technique is needed.

 

Will be installing mine tomorrow. The ones that had issues did you use soapy water when installing?

 

@jr1016 get more soapy water then you think you need. As you pull the decal from the paper spray the decal as you go. If you have trouble lining it up and it's starting to adhere, spray it some more until you get it lined up correctly.

Was tough to put on. Used a lot of soapy water. Might order another and get white instead. Black disappears.

That is a good look on the grille. Where did you get the emblem. I just put on a new grille on and need a center emblem. I was hoping to find all black but not having much luck.
