Hey guys, I’m brand new and not sure where else to turn.

i have a 2018 tundra and for the last few days the check engine light has come on and the following systems don’t function.

    Blind spot monitors
    Cruise control
    Rear cross traffic detection
    Parking sensors

Lane detection and collision detection appear to work.

Sounds like a fuse or wiring harness issue to me. Has anyone had anything similar?

I’ve googled and youtubed with no luck. Any advice or wisdom would be most welcome!

Welcome to the forum! There’s a ton information on here so stick around!

Have you had the truck since new? I ask because being an 18, if it’s the original battery, that could be the culprit as a dying battery can cause odd electrical issues.

Also, we love pictures. Let’s see the truck!

See I wouldn't have even thought battery since everything else seemed fine, great idea, thank you!

I'm not the original owner, I got it with 75k miles on it. Not a great pic, but that was on a jobsite :)

Nice! Yeah have the battery tested just to rule it out. I got a lot of weird gremlins when my battery was dying. It was covered by warranty too.

    So an update

I did indeed need a new battery, good call! Replacing the battery made the cruise and parking sensors work again, but still no blind spot monitors or rear traffic alert.

The error codes were related to the gas cap not being completely closed, so I cleared them.

    Anybody got any ideas lol?

Yep, low or bad battery does all sorts of odd things with Tundras. Now that the battery is sorted, make sure those functions are turned on, buttons for each. And I would check the fuses for both systems, check both under dash and under hood.

    Welcome to the forum.

BSM fuse is ECU-IGI NO 4
Oddly enough your cross-traffic alert is on the same circuit.:D

Checking that would be a start.
As @frichco228 stated make sure they are turned on too..

Check the build link in my signature.
    Dumb question:
Did you go into the vehicle settings in the instrument cluster and make sure BSM and RCTA are turned on? They don't have a physical button on the 18+ trucks.

Edit - just saw others suggested the same.

Yeah mine turn on via the cluster in the center, they're both off and I can't toggle them back on.

@1lowlife Where did you find that schematic sir!? I've been googling poorly apparently, thank you so much man.
