Wanting to pull the trigger on a Warn semi hidden bumper for the 2014 to present Tundra part # 103209. Before I do, I need to know where to relocate my factory engine block heater (see pic below).

I reviewed the Warn install instruction for this and they do not mention or account for the factory heater.

I also called/e-mailed Warn and this is the exact response I got from them:

“We do not have any plans to make a change on this kit to deal with the block heater plug. Toyota is coming out with a new model this year and we will keep it mind fort the new model.”

I would imagine you would run into the same problem with other manufacturers out there with the same style of bumper.

What have others done to re-accommodate the heater (pic please)?

    Cheers

Did you ever install the bumper? I’m looking at the same one but trying to dig up info on how well it works. Especially if the top bar interferes with the TSS sensor

Sorry for the delayed reply, unfortunately I did not go ahead with the bumper (at this time).

There is a reputable shop in Vancouver B.C. called “West Coast Off-Roaders” that installed this bumper on a Tundra around March 3rd, 2021 (that I know of). I would give them a call.

As far as I know there are no issues with the TSS sensor. The biggest issue I found through all my research was where to relocate the block heater (if you have one), and whether or not you wanted to cut into the metal part of the bumper to accommodate the winch solenoid or if you were going to relocate it under the hood.

If/when I go ahead with the install I’ll most likely relocate the solenoid under the hood and try to mount it onto one of those air compressor mounting plates.

Here are a couple pics of the “West Coast Off-Roaders” Tundra install.

Let us know how you make out and post up some pics.

    Cheers,
