Good morning all. Just curious if anyone else has call drop issues with iPhone? My old 7 series was rock solid. Never dropped. But….it died so I upgraded to a 12. Anyway after about 5 min the call drops. Bluetooth still shows connected but the phone will not play through audio. I removed the old phone and removed this one and reinstalled. Thoughts?

If I had to make an informed guess (and I'm a nerd, so I do LOL) I'd say it's an issue with iOS 15.x. I say this because there are many people experiencing it out there, *AND* it's not just Toyota owners who are experiencing it.

Unfortunately I can conform that the latest iOS release (iOS 15.3 beta) doesn't fix it. There's an update for the 2020 Tundra non-nav head unit as of 20 November 2021, however....don't know if that helps things any.

I had the same issue for over a year, even with the old IOS version and 2 different iPhones. Didn’t have one issue with the android. There are a lot of finger pointing but apparently the iPhone doesn’t always work well with the stock head unit. I like the stock head unit but I need my phone to work while driving, I finally gave up and started looking at aftermarket head unit/amps.

Man. I had my old iPhone on my 13 tundra. Never an issue. Got a 19 pro. No issues with the same phone. That phone breaks and I get a new phone. Next day…..drops all the time. Only thing different was the phone model. Same IOS. Seems like the phone to me.

Nope. Been beta testing it for a month or two, and same issue.

So for the last few days I have been looking at new head units to fix the Bluetooth issue. From what I’m reading a new head unit for fix anything because the problem stems from the iPhone…

I think it’s the Toyota HU. My problems all went away since I installed the new Kenwood and use CarPlay.

I don’t believe it is the head unit. My old phone flawlessly for 5 years through 2 tundras. I get a new phone and the very next day it drops repeatedly. The only thing different was going from a 7 to 12 series iPhone.

My phone did the auto iOS update last night. When I got in the truck this morning, my phone would not pair with the truck via Bluetooth. I deleted TUNDRA from the phone’s available DEVICES in the Phone’s settings list, and then re-paired the phone to TUNDRA. It now works again. It’s a very easy fix.
