Is bmc really required for 35’s or 285/75r18 ? I thought I saw a thread someone running 285 with 5100s on middle setting and that’s it no other mods. I’m in the market for some new tires and have 5100s middle setting and def wanna run 285/75r18 (34.8”x11.2”) I saw other thread on max tires per lift but thought I’d ask anyway . Thanks

I ran 35s and was fine. Just moved into 37s and got a BMC!

My 35s was on 20” wheels and my current 37s are on 17” wheels.

It really depends on the setup including lift, offset, rim/tire size etc.

Yes, offset is key, as well as your caster, and how much you plan to flex out the suspension. Also important is the specific measurements of the tire you want, as not all 35s are created equal. I went with 35x12.5x17 BFG KO2s on a completely stock Tundra with Rock Warrior wheels (+50 offset) and was totally fine. Others have had to do BMC with 295/70/18, which are like 34.25"x11.5". So, it just depends on your specific truck.

I need a BMC w/295/70/18's on Black Rhino Arsenals. I used to run 315/75/17 on Rock Warrior Rims and didn't need a BMC. The increased offset on the Black Rhinos causes a slight bit of rubbing on the passenger side when I'm backing up, hence the BMC.

    Not many yet, mostly stock.
    285 65 20 w/ BFG 2KO
0 offset 9 “ wheel mine scraped as alignment was binging tested.

BMC was easy if you have some tools & skills. Had to settle for less camber in alignment by a little.
Had 3/1 Toytec lift. Used a heat gun to reshape plastic inner fender well. Another easy thing to do, agree with post # 6 on body to suspension flex. I’ve sense sold that truck.
    You can do it !!
