So I’ve had a brake controller in my center console for some time now that if I had a trailer with brakes I would pull out and plug in to the factory harness and have it rest on the door and use it as needed.

But I’ve been kicking around the idea of where I want it permanently wince I got it from @ColoradoTJ over a year ago, and today I finally pulled the trigger on installing it.

Here is the end result.F7D25A63-9339-482B-A620-636213323261.jpgIt took some work but I got it so my knee doesn’t hit it when I’m driving, and it’s with an easy arms reach. I think the most time consuming part was relocating the traction control button to the other side of the steering wheel

I think that is amazing what you've done there. I would have not thought about that. The spot I'm using is at the bottom of the center console. I seem to have an opening that fits my tekonsha p3 perfectly. I'll post photos once I place it in.

Thanks man. I worked at a dealership for awhile and I absolutely HATED the brake controllers that were just screwed to the underside of the dash because I always hit my knee on it. So Id been thinking about where exactly I wanted to put it for some time now

When you relocated the traction control button, did you have to make an extension for the wiring or was it long enough to reach?

I had to extend the wiring. It’s 4 wires and then had to get a little creative with getting the switch in the hole on the other side due to the holes being slightly different

Did you need to purchase special connectors to make up the extension or did you fabricate?
